“If you're looking for a place just to sleep and be one with nature this is it! Kinda like glamping. There was mice poop everywhere, it's that time of year, didn't scare us. But their was no forks, towels, napkins, they only provided 1 trash bag we went through in a hurry and had to use grocery bags for garbage. Ran to gas station for forks and paper towels. The oven dorsnt wirk, so took 4 hours tobake a 20min bitter braid. Other than thst a good place to rough it and relax”

“Beautiful, peaceful, interesting, and lovely location and property. Lots of birds and deer. Nice trails. Cabin was quiet, quaint, and private. Visitor Center staff were kind, engaged, and knowledable. Neat displays and information. Enjoyed learning about Norwegian heritage and history. Property manager provided great communication. Signage to property was also helpful. I had a wonderful stay and will definitely visit again.”

“My husband and I needed a little getaway and we are so glad we chose Murph’s Hideaway. The cabin is peaceful and charming but has all the comforts of home. We very much explored being able to sit out on the deck and just listening to the birds singing and watching the momma deer with her twin babies. The local towns are nice and friendly. We highly recommend this location and would love to book a return trip at some point. ”

“Quiet and cozy cabin across the street from the Kickapoo River. Perfect size for two to take a quiet getaway for a time. Much to see in the Readstown and Viroqua area and Kickapoo Valley. Excellent hiking trails, restaurants/ bars and shopping within a short drive. LeAnne was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay again in the future.”

“My wife and I had a great time over this past weekend. The cabin was very clean, well put together, secluded and relaxing. Only thing I didn’t realize was it didn’t have a shower, but wasn’t so bad because there was a hot tub. We both really enjoyed our time there and feel completely recharged. We will definitely be coming back soon. ”
