“Well, nowhere does it say that the hotel is literally right on the train tracks. You cannot get much closer and by the way the train goes through at least once a night. And the schedule is completely unpredictable so the staff cannot even let you know when you're going to get the unwanted wake up call. And if the train isn't loud enough for you, their air conditioning units are as loud as a plane taking off. But the hotel does provide some cheap ear plugs which are completely inadequate. If...

“This older hotel had everything we needed. We could walk to restaurants, the brewery and the interesting fruit distillery. There was terrible smoke in the valley from wildfires, which hampered our view of the surroundings, which I’m sure were beautiful.”

Very animal friendly, a nice change :) they were also sweet and accommodating. Lived the kitchen and lounge features as well as we felt like we were in a museum, so much to look and learn about.
