“Great location, great room, the only thing that let the hotel down was our evening meal which was not at the standard we had previously experienced and staff managing restaurant on the evening did let it down. “Nos hospedamos por una noche y desde que llegamos nos dijeron que el Aire Acondicionado funcionaba pero había que esperar a que enfriara nunca enfrío. No quejamos con el personal y no había nadie en el hotel que pudiera solucionarlo. Subieron dos personas del front desk y nos dicen que no había solución. Pedimos cambio de habitación y no habían disponibles. Solo nos ofrecieron abanicos. No dormimos nada en lo absoluto. incluyendo mi hijo quien estaba en la habitación con nosotros. Nunca...

“I stayed at the royal maritimime hotel for 2 nights and the room was very comfortable,the bathroom was lovely and big and there was daily housekeeping. Only downside is I noticed after the housekeeping had been, in the shower the small bottle of shower gel was still on the floor in the shower so I don't think the shower had got done but that is my only criticism. I had breakfast on my first day and there was good choice and it was nice and hot , I choose to have breakfast in town on my 2nd day...

“Definitely worth a visit. We only stayed for one night but we will be back. Staff all unbelievably good. Food exceptional. Very quiet. Really good nights sleep. Highly recommend this hotel. We also did the free history tour of the castle. Do not miss this as it includes a visit to the roof to take in the views.”

“We have stayed at the Petwood Hotel before, in order to join a friends party. We loved it so much that I treated us to a room overlooking the garden. It was well worth the extra money, as there was a raised area with a lovely table overlooking the gardens as well as the huge size of the room itself. The history and atmospheric quality of the hotel is superb and the local area is fabulous, especially for walks or cycling. Treat yourself to Sunday lunch if you can as a fabulous pianist called...
