“The cottage is secluded with plenty of wildlife and amazing scenery. We were visited by fox, deer and hummingbirds!The kitchen is well appointed and beds are comfortable. Our host was very responsive to questions before and during our stay.The short walk to the shore leads to a rocky beach with lovely views and awe inspiring sunsets.Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a place to relax and unwind. Make sure to stop for provisions on the way to the cottage as the nearest grocery...

“Oh did we love this spot! Amazing sunrises and sunsets. Kayaking. Nice spot on the dock to enjoy a coffee. Hot tub (which we used multiple times). Not to mention the family cottage vibes that reminded me of our old Northern Ontario family camp that I spent summers at as a child. I would love to return with family one day and enjoy some more time there. The location is wonderful. The space was very clean and the beds were so comfy! Thank you to the hosts for offering such a stunning spot.”

“Looking for peace and quiet with an amazing view; this is the place to go. The wooden cottage is located up a hill with an amazing view on Lake Bras d’Or. The pictures are 100% accurate. Only thing to keep in mind, the drive up the hill is quite steep and the gravel road is quite bumpy. If you don’t drive a 4x4 or an awd vehicle, make sure your car is not too close to the ground or you could scrape and cause damage.”

A covered porch with chairs and a picnic table are there for you to enjoy the outdoors. Arrive with everything you need (coffee!) as this is a rural property without amenities nearby. Would stay again. ”

“Came for two nights, family of four. The cottage itself is very basic and rustic, although views on water are beautiful. The whole experience was negative for us after realizing that we were charged double the nightly rate we booked as well as being charged in USD instead of CAD as we had booked. Rates were changed and charged without our consent. The situation soured our experience considerably. Definitely do not recommend this property nor the platform.”

“Very nice cabin in secluded location in the woods, with a lake access. The cabin is in new condition, has very well equipped kitchen and is nicely decorated. “It was just as we expected and what we wanted—-a quiet remote place—-with more birds than people! We were so lucky with the weather too….water out front and a lovely breeze most of the time. We brought food in and enjoyed fresh fish and relaxing times. We slept well with nearly all the windows open for the night air. The tide came in and we kayaked a little out front. “We enjoyed or stay and the view was terrific. Deck furniture was comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. Owner says she is eliminating washcloths but when we asked she provided a couple more. What would have made our stay better would have been a washer/dryer available and access to that beautiful upstairs bathroom off the master bedroom which made that nice bedroom unusable with only toilet and sink available.”
