“Our host as very accommodating and responded to anything we needed. The daylight lower apartment is nicely set up. We could see a little view of trees and the water from the small deck with a surrounding flowering garden.We were able to make meals on the hot plate and small refrigerator provided. A microwave and coffee pot is available too. The bathroom is beautiful and the bed comfortable. It was in a neighborhood, so stores are 20 to 30 minutes away. “A nice location away from the hustle and bustle of Kona but within reach of Captain Cook and Volcanoe / Hilo areas. We enjoyed our short stay chilling on the deck and exploring the farm with short drives to 2 step snorkelling and coffee farms and cafes. Nice place to return after a long day of exploring. ”

“We enjoyed the view and size of house. We knew the cats were there outside, all 5 were friendly. There was some cat fur on the towels that was not expected. The checking instructions were clear, we had a little trouble finding the driveway in the dark. That was easier during the daylight the next day. All of the amenities we expected were easy to find and the host responded appropriately to all our questions. Would stay at the big house again. ”

“It was a nice condo. Relaxing and spacious for family of 6. Everything was functional. The steep road to the condo was a surprise, but manageable. Short walk to pebble beach, with perfect sunset and a small trail along the shore. Only we didn't expect that much mosquitos in Feb. ”

“Great unexpected & laid back experience. From the exciting night drive to the site and then waking up to your own secluded and peaceful sliver of south Kona. The fruit/pig farm combination gives just enough activity to your serene little home - not to mention the frisbee challenge!! Excellent getaway from the city and typical Hawaii beach environment. Our Hosts made the stay comfortable and homey. Highly recommended and would definitely Hana Hou!!”

“The property is in a wonderful quiet neighborhood and only a short walk from the beach. It is well maintained and well furnished. The main things of note to keep you informed and so you can't say you didn't know is that the property is down a steep hill, so be prepared. Not a big deal as the whole neighborhood is this way. Also the property does not have air conditioning. It was warm during the day, but as you keep the windows open it cools down well with the breeze, so no problem at all. Also,...

“This house is exactly as described. Room for 8 (if 2 are thin and short or are children). The host is very communicative and helpful. The check in and check out process is very easy. There are games in the basement and the host has a whole shed of snorkels, fins, chairs, beach equipment, etc. Really great if you've come from far and obviously couldn't pack your own.Why this house might not be for you: it is rural. If you want to go to Kona it's 1 to 1 1/2 hours away. Volcanoes NPS is about 2...
