When I booked through Expedia the charge was $97.11, but I was charged $177 at the hotel due to a cleaning charge, the fact that the room had a kitchen and it was the last available room even though I did have a reservation well in advance (according to the staff that checked me in). “This property looks NOTHING like those very nice photos they show. It’s unkempt and actually dirty inside. The clerk was working behind bulletproof glass. The parking lot has numerous people hanging around. There are signs warning of human trafficking as you go in and also in the dingy lobby. The clerk actually told me that I didn’t have to stay there if I didn’t want to, because the ‘vibe’ of the place had changed since it changed ownership. “Check in/ check out was a little wonky. The overhead light in the room was ghastly, but the bed was comfortable and the place was clean. The room climate control was also good.”
