False advertising: The pool was outservice
The pool was outservice by rebuild. They sell this service, nobody said us that the pool was outservice. The housekeeping didn´t go everyday, in 8 days only this service was 3 times. We talk the hotel manager, he said that he could´nt do nothing and that we could´nt any request, we should the request to hoteles.com. We would to Hoteles.com check the services that offer their hotels; and that hotels respond for their services. The picture and the offer service are the false advertising.

Property is fine, hotel staff was great. Easy to sleep and board an early flight. Our issue — the first room had plumbing issues, so we had to change rooms. We then had to also move out of the second room because the neighbors were indulging in extracurriculars and our room was filled with the smell of it. Not the hotels fault, but still a pain do deal with. Staff was great and quick with moving our rooms.

The reason we booked this hotel was to park and sleep the night before an early flight for vacation. We were charged for both the room and to park where parking was included IF and ONLY IF you booked thru the Park, Sleep Fly website. Lesson learned on our part.

Close to DTW
The Clarion Hotel is close to DTW which is a benefit for next day connecting flights. The beds are very comfortable and the maintenance of the facility is good.

Reserved on Hotels.com reservation was from Expedia. Requested two queen beds but had to pay extra 20.00 at hotel as reservation was for a king room. Cold air coming in window so heating could not stop running.

Ok for the price
The room was a normal king room, it was clean but it needed some maintenance on a couple areas including the dripping shower that I didn’t notice until we were in bed for the night. I reported it, so hopefully they are good about repairing things. Surprisingly the pillows were decent which is a big deal for me.

I didn't even stay more than a hour!!! It was smelly dirty and they wouldn't give me a refund because they DON'T let you see the room which is fine. But it looked NOTHING like the pictures. The first room I was in the curtains wouldn't close and it smelled bad the second room I was in the microwave didn't work and smelled bad then when I tried to order some food they told me that on the day that I booked my room is when the restaurant decided to no longer affiliate themselves with the hotel.... I will not recommend anybody to waste their money here unless you are okay with a whole bunch of air fresheners being around to cover up the odor!

Our records indicate that we offered you a different room after you expressed dissatisfaction with the original one. However, you reported that the microwave in the second room did not work. Our maintenance personnel investigated and found that it was unplugged. You decided to checked out and mentioned to the attendant that the photo on your reservation indicated two double beds, but you reserved your room for a king-sized one. Although the front desk offered to upgrade you, you declined the offer because you felt mislead.We apologize for the shortcomings and assure you that your feedback will be invaluable in improving our services. We are currently undergoing remodeling, and your observations will help us to enhance the exceptional experiences of our guests.Once again, we extend our apologies for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay. We appreciate your business and hope to have the opportunity to serve you better in the future.

I was to take my husband to the airport for a return trip to his homeland of Peru. We spent the night prior at the Clarion because of its shuttle service to the airport. Luis was at the hotel desk when we registered. When I told him that I had broken two ribs a few weeks ago, he immediately placed us in a 1st floor room near a side entrance. He was empathetic because he, too, had broken ribs in the past. After my husband’s departure, I extended my stay a couple of nights. I needed to regain strength before the long drive home to Northern Michigan from Detroit. I was comfortable. The room was especially quiet to allow needed rest, and the staff made accommodations for me to remain in the same room. It was greatly appreciated.
