Ubicación perfecta
La persona que nos recibió ni siquiera buenos días, menos una sonrisa. Con poca gana nos dijo que regresáramos en 2 horas, lo que hicimos y tuvimos que esperar 40” mas El hotel necesita mantenimiento. En la primera duchada se despegaron 2 baldosas, la cortina de ducha es corta por lo que se moja todo el baño y la perilla de la ducha se estaba despegando. Las camas cómodas, cuartos amplios,te dan agua todos los días y tienen un buen desayuno. Lo mejor la ubicación, casi frente a la estación del tren, frente al bus del aeropuerto de Edinburgh, a 3 cuadras del centro y con lugares para comer al rededor.

Sorprendentemente moderno, innovador y acogedor. No sólo es dog friendly, sino que además nos sorprendió con una camita y bebedero para nuestro peludo bebé. Bravo!

The hotel is a wonderful old building that has been lovingly maintained. Our room was fine, everything was clean, tidy and worked and we got what we paid for. The restaurant was excellent. It had grandeur, it was flooded with light, offered views over the Tay, drink and food options were very good and reasonably priced. While there was no car park, one across the road offered reasonable rates and was convenient. The Discovery and V&A are a 5 min walk and are excellent. Why not a 5* rating? Like many old cities, Dundee has some wonderful buildings but needs a lot of TLC, including the area around the hotel where some construction is ongoing which when complete will sadly reduce the Tay view further.

location is ideal for a base whilst in Dundee However we had room 603 - it was like downhill a ski slope in there, woke up hanging out bottom of bed. The room was extremely dark

We didnt get the room we booked , on website its faulty pictures and description, so we end up with a room that u cant even find on website when u book and wasnt far away from the room i booked on website which woulf been like 10 times nicer then the one we got. We also preorder bubbles for my wife birthday for wheb we chocked in, but wssnr There when we arrived and had to go to reciption and ask Later on the night the whole fire alarm in the buidling went on (false alarm thank god) but very scared experience

Excellent stay for a dance competition
The room was lovely and had a camp bed for my 7 year old. She loved that it was there just for her. The coffee was excellent in the room. Everything was clean and there was plenty of space. I loved having the long bench in our room.

Comfortable and convenient
This hotel could not be more convenient for Dundee city centre. A brief walk from the railway station, and from there the city is just a short walk as well. Comfortable rooms with all the expected amenities, I was also grateful for an upgraded room. My one criticism I'd have is that the room was very dark, particularly the bathroom - but that seems to be a trait of Malmaison properties throughout. Great stay all in all.

Okay but was underwhelmed
Overall the hotel was in good condition but it has seen better days. Chips out of walls and skirting in particular. We stayed in the junior suite and although the room was big and had a bath, I wouldn’t say it was that much more impressive than a standard room. Could have done with a better layout and a sofa or something to make the most of the extra space and make more like a “suite”. We had an evening meal in the restaurant too and we weren’t very impressed with the standard of food. We are vegan and there were very limited choices (only 2). We had the black bean burger and they were pretty dry and not very exciting. The chips and salsa dip was the best bit. However cannot fault the staff we dealt with who were all extremely helpful and friendly.

The room was very dark even with all the lamps on, I should have asked for an accessible room as this room had a bath with shower over it no use as am disabled, used a disability scooter so you would think that the receptionists would have said room was not accessible, there was only 1 chair in the room so one of us had to sit on bed, the bed was very uncomfortable pillow the same we did ask for other pillows but they were as bad as the first lot, thankfully we only live 45 mins away so we went home a day early

The location is very close to the station and the city centre. The rooms are a little tatty and it’s hard to get the temperature right as it is set to auto by the main service. The half board option was rather deceiving as the staff did not know what was included and what was a surcharge however each night regardless of what we ordered the bill always came to over £110!! And when we chose to eat out they still charge £70.00 for nothing yet the allowance we were told is £50.00

Basic hotel.. no view from the window... Bed comfortable.. Room basic but acceptable... I didn't eat here nor use their WiFi.. If cheap enough book but only if cheap and you are not expecting anything special..

The Malmaison brand is beginning to look tired The kitchen is erratic with a mix of good dishes and others I returned to the kitchen. When reordering I did not get exactly what I asked for The staff were receptive to feed back and tried to address the issues in the kitchen.

We were given a disabled room, despite not asking or requiring it. As a result there were large areas of the room which were vacant of furniture. There was nothing to stand your personal items in the bathroom. No lounge/armchair available in the room. We had room service and had to sit on the bed! Apart from those niggles we would stay again.

Shame as I thought this Hotel was in a different league. Small room, great view of the corner of the room opposite. No bottled water in the room. Poor service at the bar.
