Premier Building at Purgatory - Views - Ski in/Ski Out - Corner Unit

  • The condo is currently for sale and showings may be scheduled during your stay. There are only occasional showings. If you do not want to allow showings, then please do not book this property. We will apply a $100 discount per showing, if we need to show the home during your stay.

    Our 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath 1,900 sq ft condo (Unit 302) in Purgatory Lodge offer the ultimate convenience in winter or summer as it is located in the heart of Purgatory Village only 50 yards from the primary high-speed lift, Purgatory Express, to the top of the mountain. This is the best ski in/ski out location at the resort.

    Purgatory Lodge contains Durango Mountain Resort's premium amenities including outdoor heated pool with slide, hot tub, workout facility, and family game room adjacent to a private restaurant and bar.

    The single level condo is located on the northwest corner of Purgatory Lodge on the 3rd floor (elevator access) and offers amazing views of the Needles Mountain Range from the deck and master bedroom. Each Purgatory Lodge unit also has a ski locker.

    The condo was professionally decorated and both King bedrooms have flat screen TV's.

    Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.

    Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

Convenient location

Had a great experience and enjoyed the New Year festivities from our Balcony. Resort staff were professional and courteous, we felt welcomed and assured assistance for any needs. The unit had all the amenities listed.

We really enjoyed our time in the condo. We were a little disappointed that the TV in the living room did not work. It was like it was set up for a Roku but did not have a remote. Also, we had to ask the front desk for help with the fireplace as it did not initially want to work. They fixed that for us. Otherwise, it was nice. The mountain views were AMAZING and the skiing was okay - we definitely needed a snow storm to come through.

Best Condo for large gatherings

This property was perfect for our large family gathering. Everyone fit perfect! Loved walking out and right to the lift each morning. Kids loved the pool and slide. Heated parking garage with space for our two suvs was the perfect addition.

Grrat place for family vacation!

Stay where the action is! Perfect location at the base of the mountain and overlooking the plaza. Sit on your balcony and read, while watching mountain bikers zoom across the trails. We had grandparents on the lift to see the views, teens on bikes bumping down runs, preteens on the roller coaster and bobsled. And when it rained, everyone was in the game room playing pool! Oh- and after the activities, take a dip in the pool or sit in the hot tub! The location of this condo, in that building, makes this all possible.

Reviewer Comments: Condo 302 in Purgatory Lodge has more than enough space to sleep 10 people comfortably (4 bunk beds, 2 queens, and 1 king) in large rooms with ample closet/dresser space for bulky winter clothing. Excellent condition, beautiful views, and best part: such easy access to the slopes (simply take the elevator to the 1st floor and walk out to the base of the mountain - no stairs required). Private ski locker at the base of the slopes for easy overnight storage, heated pool and large hot tub. Access to the Durango Mountain Club for entertainment, private bar/restaurant. We'd definitely stay here again!

2023 Ski Trip

Location was perfect, the condo was perfect for 8 people and it was clean and well stocked with linens and kitchen supplies. Check-in was a fiasco! The people at the front desk was new, they claimed they received the wrong information from Vrbo concerning our lodging and kept sending me to the building next door. I knew this was not correct, but they were intent that they were correct. I finally had to get a representative from Vrbo on the phone with them to tell them they were incorrect. It finally got straightened out and we were placed in the condo I had reserved...I was pretty worried this would not be the case. Several other people trying to check-in at the same time were having the same issues. Once all that was settled, the accommodations couldn't have been any more perfect!

Family Vacation in the Mountains

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit 302 was perfect. The location is at the corner of the lodge and has a spectacular view of the needles mountains on one side and overlooks the plaza from the covered deck on the other side. We were a family of 7, and found that the layout was just great... all on one level with 4 bedrooms, 3-1/2 baths, there was room to get away for a little private time. Though the description says “10 people” you would be hard pressed to fit that many people in the living/dining area (which is somewhat small). The kitchen is very well stocked with plenty of dishes,cookware silver,etc. The only downside is that the dishwasher did not clean the dishes...we ended up washing everything by hand...owner should probably replace the dishwasher. Parking is horrible...tho it says two spaces, these are tandem, and once you pull in to the spaces, they are so close that you cannot open the door to get out. (This is a lodge issue, not the a ‘unit’ issue). The lodge common areas were tired, and not well cleaned. There’s only one restaurant (paradise pizza) open during weekdays in the evening, (excellent pizza!) and the little (mini) convenience store closes early. Purg is suffering from lack of workers (like everywhere).. Overall, we would come back, and would request this unit.

Great ski in ski out

Condo is in an excellent location. It was perfectly clean when we arrived. Management was very quick with responses. Wonderful for any age group. Beds were comfortable, everything updated. Would definitely stay here again .

Only hick up was there was some ticking noise continuously from the north side of the condo that didn't help the person(s) in the two rooms off of the living room sleep. Not sure if it was a heating unit or something. (so 4 stars for maintenance) Still worth it and didn't bother me. Loved the stay. Property management company VRC was professional and easy to work with. Decided to change units a month or two before the trip and was very easy.

Perfect location. Amazing views! Access to Durango Mountain Club which is in the same building was incredibly convenient and eliminates public crowds at the other restaurants.

Great thxgiving getaway

We loved this unit! It had so much space for our group of 9! Having 4 bathrooms was a dream and the kitchen was well stocked and had lots of space to prepare meals! We absolutely loved the views out the windows! Everything was really clean and exceeded our expectations! Thank you!

Everyone had their own space, yet plenty of space to all play games and eat as a group. The location was perfect as it was beautiful to start and play, as well as about halfway between what we wanted to do/visit north in Ouray/Silverton and south in the Durango area. My only wish was that it would have been more clear that all the activities were closed except on weekends, it would have changed our timing/plans. Otherwise, we loved the location! Staff at the lodge were very kind and helpful. All other guests were respectful. We'll be back!
