“We arrived very late in the evening about 9:30pm and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming or more helpful. They recommended a local takeaway that delivered and allowed us to eat our food in the bar and have a drink. Our room was huge and very comfortable. We’ll definitely be back.”

“Teviot Cottage was very comfortable and well appointed. It is in a great spot being walking distance to the High Street. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a great shower. It was good having a second toilet downstairs. It would be helpful if there were some hooks in the bathroom either behind the door or on the wall.”

“Pros - friendly check in, great tea tray with fresh milk, spotless room, very cosy and welcoming, lots of parking Cons - if your a light sleeper fridge noise might keep you awake”

“The hotel has a large car park. The rooms were clean and warm. The hotel was taylored more for eating. The meals were excellent and the bar closed early after meals were finished. There were no casual bar customers. Pleanty of bars close by. The area was very safe and comfortable to walk around at any time..Nice friendly staff.”

“We enjoyed our stay, it’s very cosy and is in a serene location which is very private. Would definitely return. Hot tub was great. The only things I would change is the windows could’ve been clean as it obscures the beautiful view and the festoon lights did not come on when it got dark. We weren’t able to access the WiFi - if we were staying longer that would’ve been more of an issue. The bed area is so cosy it would’ve been nice to be able to get into a Netflix series or film on an evening. ...
