Hosts repeatedly asked for 5 start review even though there were several issues with the rental. They said that if our needs were met and we had a good trip overall, they should get a 5 start review and asked us not to list issues publicly, but rather only send them a list of issues privately so they could do their best to fix the issues. We sent them three issues their way which were not handled. The rest of this list we didn't send them privately, for two reasons: 1) if they were unwilling or unable to solve the most pressing issues, we had no reason to believe they would address any other issue. 2) most of the issues fall under general maintenance and care for a living space and they should be aware of the condition of the property. Here are a few issues we had: Missing frame on base of fireplaceThe bathroom fan doesn't work upstairsThe water doesn't work on the fridgeThe basement door rattles loudly everytime someone goes up or down the stairs to the second floorThere are only 5 small spoons for eatingThe Catan game and foosball table are missing vital pieces and cannot be playedThe Nintendo was missing vital pieces, broken, and useableSome window blinds don't have the stick to close themAt least two burnt out lightsThere was a hole in wall in master bedroomThere were several carpet stains in main walkways The front hallway closet for hanging jackets smells overwhelmingly of cleanerPlants in living room look like they are dying
