“This place gets hit by storms constantly but no backup generator! so if your lucky enough to get this room when a random storm (wont appear on weather apps) hits be prepared to be without electricity and AC oh ya when that happens no water either for a whole night!!”

“it was such a peaceful and beautiful place to stay. secluded and very well kept. My husband and I stayed for part of our Anniversary trip to Arkansas. Everything was so nice and comfortable. The hosts leave a very special treat which is such a nice touch to the overall awesome place it's a 10 out of 10! ☺️”

“We loved our stay at Walden Retreats. Becky checked us in and was so welcoming and informative of our tent and things to do while we were there. I was worried that the tent would be warm in the first of August, but we kept the shades down during the day and the fans on. My husband and I actually woke up cold in the morning, so we were just fine. I couldn't believe how clean the tent itself was. They had special touches like robes, luxury bath towels, and fantastic smelling shampoo and...

“Lovely set up had everything as described. Very smooth transaction. Loved the yert!”

“What a beautiful and unique stay!! We love horses and my 11 year old daughter enjoyed petting them. It was also really neat at night when sitting on the porch in the dark with the fire and string of porch lights. We weren’t able to see out into the pasture and then would hear the horses wander over to our area. Loved it so much!! My 7 year old son fell in love with the goats. The host was so kind and wonderful with communication! She even offered for our kids to help feed the goats and they...

“Wonderful place! We loved the fun and funky vibe of the property and the decor, and found the yurt to be comfortable, well-supplied with everything needed in the kitchenette, and conveniently located for our nearby adventures. The hanging candles were an unexpected treat!”

“Very cute cozy cabin in the woods. No bathroom facility in the cabin so be prepared to use compostable toilet about 40 feet away. It’s like a step down from glamping. I loved the animals on the property and there are some decent hikes there as well. Great location and close to Old Rag!”

“Really enjoyed our stay here. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It was a great spot to come back to after exploring Marfa. The sunsets were incredible, the stars were unreal, and seeing the full moon out there was something else. The peace and quiet out here is hard to beat.Check-in was easy, communication was great, and I'd definitely stay here again if I'm back in Marfa.”
