“The cabin was wonderful! The power was out when we got there but Marilyn communicated to us before we even go there and the generator provided power to enough of the house to be able to make it work until the power was back on the next morning. We really loved playing scrabble and scattergories (both at the cabin) on the swinging daybeds on the lower deck. We even saw a little armadillo trekking down the mountain one night. Highly recommend! Great host and amazing place to stay :)”

“Our family of 18 had a wonderful long-weekend at Lake Buckhorn Lodge. Ranging in age from 9 months to mid-60s, everyone had a great time. The living spaces provided plenty of room for us to gather, and the kitchen was well-equipped for a large group. The incredible sports bar/game room kept us all entertained. We especially enjoyed having use of the kayaks and canoes for the lake. We plan to return for our next family reunion.”

“The property was perfect and mostly inclusive.Curious why a cleaning fee () was charged with an extensive normal At-home list, which should be omitted for a vacation, to avoid extra charges, was left.Either a cleaning fee, or a list. NOT both! Hand-written wall-taped messages for every day chores was a bit excessive. Spending our savings to avoid those chores, and then having to spend half of a paid day to complete said chores, was disheartening… being they weren’t stated on VRBO’s reservation...

“My sisters and I enjoyed our stay at this property so much. We enjoyed our time here on the screened-in back porch just listening to the river flow. The hot tub was clean as well as the inside of the cabin. I would no doubt rebook this spot. 10/10! ”
