“Our stay here was brief but I was happy to see that they were willing to serve dinner not long before closing. (There aren’t a lot of dining choices nearby.) It is an older property but everything functioned and was clean. Boot tray in the closet for wet boots was a good feature, although we lucked out with the weather. We also appreciated the bottled water. We enjoyed the cook-to-order breakfast and overall friendliness of the property. The view of the bridge and stream was outstanding. ”

“Excellent hotel, nothing to complain about. Stayed here to go to scafell pike which was around 25 minutes drive away. Also a beach around 10 minutes drive away. Hotel has a large car park, great outdoor space to sit as well. Only down side was we went to pool room and it was locked, got the staff to open it and got change for the table from the bar. Just as we were going to start playing noticed one cue was broken in half and the other the tip was missing. Dart board not in the best condition....

“Great central location with parking, just off the beaten track and a nice garden that badgers visit regularly. Sadly the ground floor room I stayed in had no outside view. The tall window was opaque for privacy reasons but the top half could have been left to be able to see outside. Felt a little claustrophobic. The proprietor was warm and friendly. ”
