Kitchen was fully equipped and stocked with spices and oil as well as any kitchen tool/appliance you might need, which was quite wonderful with a full house - 4 adults and 3 children. All the appliances worked great and the cabinets are labeled which was a huge plus. The screened-in side deck with table and chairs was very handy. Back deck was nice, too. The kids loved the beach and the buckets, shovels, etc. provided were a bonus! It was a great location - not far from Swansboro and Cape Carteret. Enjoyed the go karts and mini golf just around the corner and Lazzaras Pizza was yum. Food Lion was a good option as Publix was more on the expensive side. Lots of other local shops nearby as well. It would have been nice to have another TV in one of the bedrooms so adults and kids could watch different shows but it wasn't a deal breaker as the kids had tablets, etc. We did bring our own beach towels as suggested. Would highly recommend! It's a very nice area, even in the off season. Caroline has pretty much thought of everything a guest might need, was friendly, accommodating and available.

We will be back in the future! Caroline was very easy to work with and extremely prompt with communication. The home exceeded our expectations. Everything was very clean and we slept well in the comfy king bed. Easy walk to the beach and hearing the ocean waves while sitting on the deck is lovely. We cooked breakfast several mornings and had everything needed in the kitchen and more. Check in and out was super easy as well.

This was our second time staying at this location and it was fantastic as was the first! Shampoo, conditioner, soap, linens, towels, coffee pods, beach toys and wagon, kitchen items all avaliable. Board games and TV as well.We had a 2 year old with us and he was occupied the whole time. Location was prime, about a 5 minute walk to the beach. 3 minute car ride to boat ramp. Several playgrounds located within 5 minutes.

Great cozy house with nice touches.

Worked perfectly for a getaway for our family. Nice easy walk to the beach and a couple of shops. Having bikes at the house is a nice touch. House was very clean and well cared for. Kitchen was well stocked with what we needed. Would definitely recommend!

Would recommend!

Very pleased with this house and stay! The renovations to this home were great, everything provided for our stay (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, beach gear, kid items, bikes, all dishes/utensils needed for cooking, dishwashing pods, etc) was so nice and appreciated. Communication with the owner was on point any time I had a question she responded very quickly. Short walk to the beach and right in the heart of stores/resturants. Truly we had no complaints. Plenty of deck space as well! Another big plus of staying here was how easy the departure requirements were, super simple! Would definitely recommend and would stay here again. (4 adults and a 14 month old).

Beach time —TERRIFIC

This property was exactly as it is described and pictured. It had terrific spaces, delightful decor, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, beautiful bathrooms and great towels… the walk to the beach was actually very nice about a block and a half!! Loved loved loved our stay. REALLY A NICE Nice place to be!!! Caroline was so easy to get in touch with and most helpful. The check in, check out procedure was easy to follow!!!

Little EI gem

The Surf Breeze was in an ideal location, close to everything we wanted and needed; far enough away to still never see crowds (except outside of Fish Hut Grill!). Caroline was an amazing host- from the little details to the big, she thinks of it all and immediately responds to questions or concerns. My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Caroline’s EI property!

We had an awesome visit. Carolyn was a very attentive host and we appreciate her flexibility when ee had to change a few days of our stay. I would love to rent from her next year. Family loves the trip.

If I could give 6+ stars, I would!

The home was incredible, inside and out! I was in town for an extended work trip and this was the perfect spot to prepare for and recover from long days in the office. Relaxing on the screened-in porch and private rear yard each night listening to the sounds of the waves was definitely a highlight! On the weekend, I loved the quick, easy walk to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. I can’t say enough about how wonderful Caroline was to work with! She was very helpful and responsive, both of which were very appreciated as I navigated my first VRBO experience. I will definitely be staying here again, though next time I’m bringing my family!

Easter Weekend Getaway

We had a great stay in Emerald Isle. The home was clean, comfortable, and with updated furnishings / appliances. Close to everything in Emerald isle, so that walking or biking were possible to most places. Caroline was a great host, and communicator. Will surely stay there again on our next pass through the area.

Peaceful!!! Perfect!!!

We enjoyed our stay, home had everything we needed! Gorgeously furnished and comfiest beds ever! A short walk to the beach, could hear the waves. Short walk to amazing donuts and other various gift shops etc. saving this in my to go again list!

Such a nice vibe.

After a long hard year, my husband and I needed a quiet getaway. This house and its surroundings could not have been more perfect. The house is bright, airy, sparkly, more than well-stocked; plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash. Caroline even supplied a goody bag that included sun screen. Cool mixology set too. Caroline was easy to communicate with and very responsive. Looking forward to returning soon for another couple's getaway with friends.

Beautiful home close to the beach.

My daughter and I had a wonderful time here! The home was comfortable and Caroline included so many nice touches we haven’t seen elsewhere- shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the showers, sample size toiletries if we’d forgotten anything and plenty of bath towels and wash clothes! It was a short walk to the beach which was quiet and relaxing. We’ll definitely book here again if we head down to Emerald Isle again! I highly recommend for couples or families!

Dream beach house

If I had a beach house, it would look just like this one. It was a joy to stay here. Convenient to the beach, and to restaurants and shops. Loved sitting on the screened in porch and reading. It was like being in a tree house. Looking forward to going back!
