Beautiful
Beautiful property, plenty of room, wonderful amenities. A place you can go to unplug and spend quality time with loved ones. The owners were friendly, and willing to help with anything we needed. We had an amazing time and wished we could stay longer, my kids didn't want to leave. I 100% recommend and we will be booking again.

Most Serene Cabin in The Woods
Imagine waking up breathing the freshest air with distance smells of The Woods. The Exeter Cabin is the best place for ultimate quiet & relaxation. You won't find a more peaceful place to enjoy nature. If you're looking for a fancy place, this isn't for you. In order to appreciate The Woods, you either have to already understand the peacefulness of the outdoors or you will have a first hand experience if it's your first time. Debbie the host is very responsive, sweet, understanding and provides a rustic cabin experience on her beautiful 550 acres of natural beauty. Sleeps about 9 and you can bring pets. We are so happy we found Heaven on Earth at Exeter Cabins Be sure to pick up food at P&L market. You also have to experience Lobster in Maine Enjoy your day and have an awesome experience.

Lovely Getaway
Debbie was delightful and easy to work with. The cabin was something out of a magazine. I instantly felt cozy and connected to the woods and fresh air. Hikes and a picturesque stream nearby. Full of wildlife. I woke up each morning woth coffee on the deck, listening to birds sing.

A small Graduation gathering
This cabin is perfect to host a small gathering in. Parking is a bit tight but we literally fell in love! Clean, roomy, great yard and just a beautiful view. Get up early, sit on the deck and enjoy the view, there are so many deer out there! The host, Debbie, is kind and thoughtful, she answers every call immediatly! The google gps will take you to a private road, gratefully the neighbors had a utv and guided my son to the Cabins, so he wasnt lost in the dark! If you use Apple maps it will get you there in record time! Enjoy your stay and if you forgot anything, its probably in the house!!

Perfect Getaway
The location is remote and very peaceful! Cabin is clean and stocked with everything we needed (pots, pans, utensils, plenty of towels and extra bedding.) Debbie was a great host- she helped us find local farm fresh eggs & answered any questions we had. Will definitely be staying here again in the future!

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful cabin. We saw deer daily in the mornings. Sleeping was over the top. Good selection of comfortable beds. Wonderful host. We will be back again!

Loved this house! There was a lot of land out front which was very welcoming. Debbie left a full description of activities, local restaurants, hikes nearby, and even horseback riding that we definitely recommended!! She was very fast at responding and I would definitely suggest this house if you are considering staying here :)

Cozy cabin
The main cabin was wonderful to stay in. It's generously sized and had everything we needed (full bath, kitchen, washer/dryer). The surrounding property is quiet and beautiful. The owner provides good directions to find the cabin- make sure to use them! She also had a nice packet of information of where to find shopping, restaurants, etc. We would have loved to explore it more if we had had more time. I would love to come back and stay here again.

Great balance between rustic and modern with large living space and beautiful yard. 10/10
Easy check in process. Owner was very informative and respectful, giving us free roam of cabin and surrounding property as well as providing yard games and access to wood fireplace with firewood already processed and waiting. Cabin was roomy and with multiple levels, we were able to have alone time and own space to enjoy our stay fully. Also washer and dryer in basement is a nice touch and an excellent addition. 10/10 would highly recommend and we will 100% be returning to the Exeter cabins! Just make sure to bring citronella candles or other bug deterrents cause they do get bad.

Off The Beaten Trail
It was a great experience. It is off the beaten path but close enough to Bangor and other places to go explore. The only thing was the roads were dirt, and we were not anticipating that, so that's on us and not the host. We will definitely stay here again next time we need to come up to the Bangor area.

A review after some reflection
The property manager lives next door and came by a few times. The grills didn’t work. Note that there are muddy dirt roads to get to the property so be aware with cars and if it rains. Nice cabin. Tub had some plumbing issues when we were there. Nice fire pit.

Quiet cabin in the woods
Really enjoyed our stay at the cabin here. The host was very communicative and helpful. The huge fireplace is a wonderful feature of the main area, and the available trails were great for snowshoeing through (and snowshoes were provided by the hosts). A great cozy old cabin to relax in for a long weekend.

This is a well-maintained and stocked property. We arrived after dark and had a little difficulty seeing the final turn but we made it. The view from the deck is beautiful. The visiting deer thought so as well. Would have loved to explore the trails but unexpected rain interfered.

Beautiful country! Bring a TV
Beautiful property with almost everything you need.. just missing a tv.. phone and laptop to small to watch a movie as a family on a rainy day. Loved the momma and baby deer who would visit, so quit, so much beautiful green grass and country! Kitchen completely stocked, coffee makers, washer, dryer plenty of beds of large families! Big house! Would definitely stay again!

Very Peaceful and Relaxing
Loved the main cabin and the property. 30 minutes from Bangor. Was great to have fires each night, and was very comfortable in the woods! Wildlife anounds, easy day trips as close to 95 or 395. Would definitely consider returning! Thanks Debbie!🌞

Amazing stay
The cabin is super roomy very comfortable. There's trails to wander around on one with a stream that is great for dogs. We had three and they absolutely enjoyed this day as well they swam in the creek and ran around the open field area. Very quiet setback from pretty much everything which was super relaxing. Definitely would recommend this place for other people and will definitely be coming back.

Lovely Winter Getaway
My two teen kids, dog and I spent 3 days at Debbie's cabin in February and loved every aspect of the property. The cabin was clean, cozy and well-stocked, with a wonderful fireplace and plenty of room to spread out; the view out the back door was spectacular. The neighborhood was quiet and rural (we saw several groups of deer out feeding in the evenings:) but within 15 minutes of a good antique store and a couple of nice family restaurants. Debbie was a wonderful and responsive host. Highly recommend!

Amazing vacation
We had such a great time! Debbie is amazing and very accommodating. We were snowed in by a blizzard and couldn’t have been happier! The dogs loved running on the trails and investigating all the smells of the Maine woods. We went tubing down the front hill which we hadn’t done in years! So much fun! Better than expected
When we looked for a spur of the moment cabin rental for our family to get away from everyday life, we had the fortune of finding Debbie's listing. When we booked, she told us we could come in early, and on check out day there was no one coming in behind us, so she let us stay until midafternoon. If you're looking for simple laid-back place to rest and unwind this is the place if ever there was one, there is Wi-Fi onsite but no TV's anywhere, we spent the days with our granddaughter playing with the toys that are provided, my wife sat in front of the big stone fireplace and read, and myself I just sat in front of the fire keeping it going and watching it burn like it was mesmerizing. All the cooking things you need are there, all the firewood you could possibly need is there, and when the snow came over the weekend, she even had things to use for time in the snow. We have rented places before, but I can honestly say that Debbie's main cabin is one of two rentals that my family and I will return to, this one being at the top of the list. The pictures in the listing i would recommend updating just because it doesn't do the rental any justice. With all that being said Debbie is one of the best hosts we have dealt with and look forward to an anniversary trip in February. Because it truly is like escaping reality once you get settled in and start relaxing here.

Complete serenity!
We loved staying at Exeter Nature Cabins. The host was so nice, friendly, and available for any questions. Being able to bring our two Great Danes with us was such a bonus! We had miles of trails to explore, a nice fire pit outside, and complete quiet at night. We will stay here again.

Little slice of heaven
I If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, I can recommend the Exeter Nature Cabins. “cabin” is a misnomer though; you’ll be staying in a home that sleeps eight. The setting is rural Maine; two lane highways, corn fields, apple orchards, lakes . We felt immediately at home. The host has everything you need; puzzles, crayons, card games, board games, yard games, interesting books, magazines and all the tools in the kitchen (grill outside). We made most of our meals there. There are lakes all around Exeter and we liked the lake in Newport. Did I mention the antiquing in almost any direction you go? Bangor has a lot of antique stores as well as the little towns around Exeter. Acadia National Park is roughly one hour and a half away. In August we couldn’t use the fireplace but we did use the fire pit and made s’mores. The host is fantastic and lives close by. There are hiking trails. This would be a great place for a family reunion . It really is a little slice of heaven.

If you want to get away this is the place to go, nice cabin in the woods, Debbie was really pleasant and helpful. The only thing we did not care for was the water in the basement, would definately recommend cleaning up the basement and having a couple of dehumidifiers down there.
