“The room was very poorly lit, no lights apart from small wall lights which being sight impaired I struggled with. Tap was loose and wobbly in bathroom sink.”

“We have stayed here before and it is a good practical option for us when we visit family. It is clean modern and nice and warm. We have stayed twice before in different rooms, both of which were bigger than the one we had this time. It would really have been more suitable for a single guest. That being said, we did manage ok for 2 nights. We did notice the noise from other guests a bit more this time than we did before. The location is ideal as there are shops, bars and decent restaurants...

“A beautiful guest house with a beautiful view across the water. The bedroom had a lovely sea view , comfortable bed and a lovely en-suite bathroom. There were many little extras but I particularly liked the Dunoon fine bone china cups , saucers and teapot a delightful way to enjoy a cuppa. Ken is a great host and seems to think of everything to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and a good choice available. “I can't say enough about the Sugar Boat....check in, personnel, food.. all incredible. The location is perfect..right in the middle of a pedestrian square. Every single interaction we had with the staff couldn't have been more positive. Wonderful experience!”

“The accommodation is “Airb&b style”, so no service on site. However when I had a problem with access I got immediate attention on the phone. The room was reasonably clean, bedlinen and towels spotless. Shower, hot water etc. working fine, shower gel supplied, kettle available with plenty of tea and coffee. A wee bit shabby outside of the room but I gather they are still working on it. Cleaner/maid friendly. Value for money and I suspect but don’t know for sure that it will improve...
