Great location great price great staff
If you dont mind climbing some stairs (which is pretty usual in Firenze) then this place is a very good one. Staff was over-helpful and mega-nice! Room was clean and comfty. Location was very good, near everything and far from crowds. Has a beautiful balcony/terrace view. We had a great time.

Great location, despite the major infrastructure project going on out in front of the hotel (looks like sewer replacement). Hotel owners/staff were lovely and very helpful, including transporting of luggage up and down multiple flights of stairs (Yes, no "lift" in this hotel!). Ample breakfast, very clean, and gorgeous view of the Duomo from the rooftop terrace!

Despite its convenient location, my stay at the hotel was unsatisfactory overall. Situated on the third floor (which would typically be considered the fourth floor in the US), the absence of an elevator made it particularly challenging, especially when dealing with heavy luggage. Throughout our two-night stay, we encountered the inconvenience of no advertised 24/7 front desk service. Upon our arrival around 8:00 PM, the front desk attendant promptly departed after our check-in, leaving us without assistance. To our dismay, there was a shortage of essential amenities such as toilet paper and room supplies on the first night, and we struggled to locate any staff for assistance, exacerbated by the absence of a telephone in the room. Despite attempting to contact the hotel via WhatsApp using a provided barcode at the entrance, our messages went unanswered. Additionally, the water temperature in the bath was insufficiently warm, with no staff available to address the issue. Moreover, accessing our room required passing through a breakfast area, although the service from the breakfast attendant was commendable. However, I found myself wishing for a more comprehensive and attentive level of service throughout my stay.

Staff here are very friendly and welcoming. They will do everything to make your stay comfortable, just have to ask! The rooms are on the 4th floor and there are no elevators so be prepared to work those calves! Breakfast was stocked with a variety of pastries and you can get your espresso or cappuccino made to order. Rooms were clean and comfortable and it is centrally located in Florence. Most attractions (e.g., Uffizi, Academia) are just a brief 15 mins walk. Will definitely return to this B&B for our future visit!

La vue sur le toit de l'hôtel est à couper le souffle ! La chambre était propre et spacieuse avec en prime un frigo ainsi qu'une cuisinière et des ustensiles de cuisines pour se faire à manger. Le personnel était gentil et le petit déjeuner simple mais délicieux. L'hôtel est très bien situé: à proximité de la gare et de plusieurs attraits touristiques

Property located on 3rd floor however staff were excellent and very accommodating. Breakfast was adequate and there is a great rooftop terrace with views over the city. Would recommend!

The hallway is a bit spooky and ugly, with it's gray and burgundy color scheme. I'd love to see it lightened up and look simpler and more Pinterest worthy. Staff was excellent. Linen was crispy clean and plentiful. Hardware in bathroom wasn't properly fastened on walls. Breakfast had lots of options

Close to all you want to see
Our stay was great the room was very clean and the breakfast was good. The only thing was the 4 flights of stairs we had to climb but besides that the place was in a great location. It is close to the local markets and all of the sites tourist want to see when in Florence.

This small hotel is in a perfect location for walking to major attractions of Florence and it is just 10-15 minutes walk from the train station. We were able to leave our bags in a locked area for most of our last day in the city. This was very convenient.

Just beware there are sever stairs to access the hotel, but the rooftop view of the city is worth it! I inly wish there were amenities like tea and coffee available in the room. Other than that it was a great stay!

Friendly staff and very good service. They were able to serve me in Italian and in English (as I wished). I was surprised that the breakfast was not included in the price of the bed and breakfast (10€). Other than that I was extremely pleased with my stay.

Only if you are strong and fit.
Tge fact that there isn't a lift and the rooms are located on the third floor of a building should be prominent in the advertising of this property. It was also difficult to find due to the obscure numbering system of the street, the external and internal bells didn't work so it took a long time to gain entrance. Luckily, a resident went out of the building so I walked up 6 flights of the stairs to find the entrance door looked, rang the bell and only managd to get a response by telephoning the listed number. The man on reception helped with getting the suitcases up the stairs and back down on departure as we were touring Italy for 3 weeks. The room, air conditioning, rooftop balcony, breakfast and staff helpfulness was good. The evenings were noisy until about 2 a.m. as Room 4 faces onto the street, viale Guelfa. If you are not fit or in good health this may not be the place for you. A lift and ground floor reception would have given a higher score.

Cosy stay in the center of Firenze
This is a great little B&B with a good location. It is walking distance from Firenze Santa Maria Novella railway station and also walking distance to all the main attractions in the center of Florence. Our room was comfortable, the aircondition worked fine, which was very appreciated in the warm summer weather. The bathroom was quite small but functional. The breakfast is a typically Italian breakfast, which I like😊 As many have pointed out the B&B is located on the third floor and there is no elevator, so it is good to be aware of this. But the owner met us upon arrival and kindly assisted with the luggage. The owner is very friendly and service minded and really made us feel at home during our stay. The next time I hope that we shall have more time to enjoy the roof terrace and the fantastic view from the there I do reccomend Locand dei Guelfi for a cosy stay in Florence.

Perfect location
The location close to all sights is optimal, and the tiny roof terrace has absolutely amazing views. Our room was cleaned every day, so that was spotless. I really missed having a refrigerator in the room though. Since it was very hot during our stay, cold water would have been nice, as well as keeping a bottle of crispy toscan white wine to drink at the terrace between sights. We were offered to place our bottles in the refrigerator in the kitchen, but didn´t access that ourselves, so didn´t really solve it. There is a small shop just across the street where we ended up buying our cold drinks, and it was possible to bargain on the high prices on wine ;-)

This was a great place to stay. Clean and comfortable. The staff are so friendly and helpful. It's in a nice area, minutes from the market, great coffee and bakery shops and restaurants and walking distance to the train. There is no elevator, so be prepared to walk up the stairs a few flights. Percy is awesome and will help you with your bags. We loved staying here and would stay here again.

Strong points: great location, near everything. The service is excellent and the staff are very nice. It's actually quiet as long as you keep the windows closed. There is heating and I believe aircon. Not so strong points: 6 flight of stairs (but this didn't bother us because we were travelling light). There are stains on the vintage upholstery on the furnitures. Also, I wish they use proper duvet cover to enclose the quilt instead of just using sheets under and on top.

Qualche settimana fa abbiamo avuto modo di soggiornare in questa carinissima locanda. Siamo stati accolti dal proprietario che si è dimostrato molto gentile e disponibile, al nostro arrivo ci ha fornito una mappa della città e devo dire che si è rivelata molto utile! La nostra camera era piccolina ma tenuta veramente bene, molto pulita, ordinata e curata! La posizione è perfetta perché dista appena 10 minuti dalla stazione ed è vicinissima al centro. Ve la consiglio!

Clean and cosy hotel
Good location and the room was fantastic and very clean! the rooftop balcony had á great view and it was nice to sit up there and chill, breakfast was nothing special but does the job and the stairs....if you have big heavy bags you should prepare for workout because there is no elevator and the room are on third floor, but the hotel employees will help you with the bags.

The staff are perfectly nice in showing us city spots while checkin. Breakfast variety is okay but optimal. The staff greet us every morning in breakfast area and serve with coffee! It is more warm than hotel can serve. Shampoo, air con, TV are good! I cant imagine such a nice hotel at low price. I will rate it highest Performance-to-cost ratio! Most important is - tax fee via credit card finally succeed here. Luck.

Lovely B&B which was within walking distance to all main attractions. Lovely, clean comfortable room. Friendly, helpful staff who were always willing to help. No kettle in our room but we were given one when we asked which was a surprise. Lovely breakfast which was so peaceful and relaxing and plenty to choose from. Wonderful rooftop terrace with amazing views of Florence. Sad to leave
