The bar area, where the owner received us, looked particularly shabby and it smelt musty. It was 3pm (an hour after checking-in should have started) and the room wasn't ready. “Got to the property late (as pre arranged) and managed to locate the reception person after finding the emergency number. Room was clean but a little tired looking apart from a new thick carpet. Facilities generally good but no plug sockets next to the bedside tables. I am a CPAP user so had to have the power lead running from the desk area on one side of the room to the bedside table on the other side creating a trip hazard across the floor.”

“Very comfortable bed, clean room We stayed for 2 nights. At check-in, we did not notice the sign in reception that you need to ask for a room refresh (before noon) We needed clean cups, glasses, tbags, but we asked in the pub on the second day and all were provided. The only downside is there isn’t really anywhere in the bathroom to dry towel on a two night stay, so maybe best to ask for refresh Excellent value for money”

“We arrived early and decided to try the dining facilities. We were pleasantly surprised at the options and pricing. When the courses arrived the standard was excellent. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed with ensuite facilities, coffee machine with small fridge and milk as well as bottled water. The bed was very comfy. Breakfast had many options. “The Hotel is very good value for money. Great for an overnight stay. Rooms are clean although would benefit redecorating. Rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and a heated towel rail and free WiFi. Ample car parking. The Hotel lacks Bar/Restaurant but a Buffet style Breakfast is available. This looks much improved from my first stay. (I have stayed five times at this Hotel) There is now a Bistro menu in the evenings, I am looking forward to trying this on my next visit.”
