A quick getaway for my wife and I along with our dog. The house suited our needs and the views were great. Having a personal beach access was nice too.

Perfect trip!!

We loved everything about our stay. The house is exactly as it was described online, but even better. Huge porch overlooking the most beautiful beach. The house was beautifully appointed and had everything we needed. Very spacious and convenient to town too. We had an issue with dishwasher and property manager was at house within 5 minutes to fix. Highly recommend this house and Folly Beach!

Relaxed on the Edge of America

Folly is one of my favorite places and this house set up and location made it so convenient, relaxing, and comfortable and the view from the deck is perfect! Very short walk to the shops and restaurants as well!

Perfection!

The house, the location and the booking/checkin process are perfect. The house works great for a small group. Direct beach access is a treat that includes amazing views and the sounds of the ocean on the deck. This is a great house and yard for the dogs. It’s clean and has everything we needed. Downtown is a few blocks away and very walkable. I had a few questions prior to checkin and all were answered quickly and thoroughly. My only hesitation booking again is due to the city of Folly. We’ve had many Christmases on Folly but this year the police presence was disturbing. Do not go one mile over the speed limit. The speed traps are unreal. They sit at the city limit and pick off drivers who don’t stomp on the brakes where the speed limit drops to 25. Then, they sit downtown and pick you up for anything. We got 2 warnings within a week. One speed and one for not having headlights on for about 20 seconds after pulling out of a parking space. Two police cars were needed for that! We watched them pull over car after car while we were eating dinner one night. But, they must overlook the drug dealers who are working in the souvenirs shops. Two in our group were offered weed from the cashiers. Sadly, Folly is changing.

Fantastic stay!

Location is incredible!!! House was wonderful for our small family including a 3 year old and 2 year old. Had plenty of space and then some! Porch railing a little sketchy for our 2 year old but we just monitored him constantly when out there. The outdoor space and huge windows were so lovely- what a view!!! Enjoyed our stay so much and can’t wait to book again soon!

Great house and location

The house was very clean and spacious. Easy access to the beach and downtown. The kitchen was well equipped with what you need to cook. The back bedroom (facing the ocean) is very bright early in the morning. Darker curtains would be nice, I was awake very early in the mornings due to it being so bright. Also, the wifi signal was very weak/nonexistent in the spare bedrooms and patio. It only worked in the master, tv room, kitchen, and living room.

Beware of steep host fees

Location is beautiful and property was clean and comfortable. The one disappointment was the nearly 50% up charge for ‘host fees’ in addition to the VRBO fee.

Great location

We love the location, walkable to Center St. and all the "action". We learned we'll wait until March next time, it was still a bit chilly but a couple days were close to 70 degrees, so those were great. House is wonderful, great layout, location and with all you need.

Folly Escape!

House was fantastic. We are a family of 4 and loved it. Spent many happy hours strolling the beach or watching the waves from the deck. Easy access to Charleston when you want a change of pace. Only comment for improvement would be to get a new mattress for the master bedroom at back of the house.....it was lumpy and quite used. Except for that we loved the house and it's walkable access to Folly's Center Street.
