The place was very clean and well stocked with linens and paper products, and was just as shown in the listing photos. The host was responsive until after we were checked out. Here is what happened. We booked our stay four months in advance, understanding that our credit card would be charged for half immediately and the second half a week or two prior to arrival. We then asked the host if we could change our dates to arrive one day earlier and leave one day earlier to coincide with the airline schedule. It was the same number of days, and the host agreed and VRBO was notified of the change. However, after the second payment was charged to our credit card, the following day another charge was made for an amount much higher than the contracted amount. Spoke to the host and he said it was a mistake on the part of VRBO because they opened up a new contract for our stay. Host said VRBO was instructed to refund the second payment. Nothing happened, sent message to host and spoke to VRBO representative and was told a refund was imminent. No refund made and we’re now working with the credit card company to dispute the second charge. We did not find any shopping or restaurants within walking distance to this rental. We also found south Florida to be not great, heavy traffic, costly parking, overcrowded.
