AWFUL
This condo is overpriced for the condition it is in. We have stayed in other condos at Gateway Villa in the past and loved it. The location is great and the beach is beautiful, and close to Time Square. BUT THIS CONDO IS AWFUL. The pictures look fine but you can’t smell it or see the dirt. The floor was so dirty that the bottom of our socks were stained. There was dirt in the corners and hair in the sinks. There was 4 of us and we couldn’t even sit together for a meal because there were only 3 chairs at the table. The unit is in desperate need of an update. The floral sofas are probably from the 70’s. The inside of the dresser drawers smell so bad we didn’t put our clothes in them. The toilet in one of the bathrooms needs repair. You have to hold down on the handle the entire time to flush. The WiFi didn’t work most of the time.
The washer/dryer unit is in an awkward closet where the door doesn’t fully open.
The mattresses are uncomfortable, old, stained, and the pillows are about an inch thick. The back bedroom has only one vent so the room doesn’t cool and stays hot. We did find a fan in the closet. It was so disgustingly filthy we had to take it apart and clean it. We used it to help cool the room.
We had a great time at the beach, but the condo did ruin our overall vacation experience.
