Had a great stay at the Hillstop Retreat. Fantastic views—even better than the photos show. Very convenient location to all of the things we wanted to do and see in the area. We will be back!

Very nice get away. House was as advertised and well equipped and comfortable. Beautiful view of the surrounding area. Town of Frankfort is 10 mins away and a great coastal town with shops and restaurants. Property management quickly responded to questions throughout our stay.Would not hesitate to book this house again.

Michigan IM Race weekend

Absolutely Beautiful view from the deck. Very nice and cozy. There was an issue with ants in the kitchen when we got there. Didn't spoil our time, just annoying. Flies just from it being closed and didn't seem like anyone was there in a while Im used to living up north and not a big deal but should be noted for others renting in the future.

Annual Girl's Week

Our first impression of the house sitting on top of the hill all by itself with the winding driveway leading to it was breathtaking! Once we got to the top and saw the view we were just blown away. Spectacular! The house itself is sparsely decorated but very clean and functional. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well while we were there. We only had 3 issues with the house. We were supposed to be a party of 4. The vrbo pictures showed 2 bedrooms on the main level, a bed in the loft area and a bedroom downstairs. When we walked into the house we realized the 1st bedroom with the piano in it did not have a bed as pictured in the ad. There was only a recliner. Thankfully we ended up being just 3 of us because the only other option would have been a very uncomfortable platform bed in the living area downstairs. We also discovered that the lights in the kitchen didn't work. We figured a breaker had been tripped. When the property manager was called, she did not know where the breaker box was and just suggested it was probably burnt out light bulbs and told us we could take one out and call her back with the type of bulb we needed. We tested the fixture with a bulb we knew was working and the light did not come on. Instead of calling the manager back we decided to just live with the dark kitchen since the light under the microwave was working. Lastly the downstairs bathroom needs a brighter light. Other than that we loved our stay! We're hoping to be back next year!

Beautiful Setting

The Hilltop Retreat was a most comfortable home with lots of room. We were a group of seniors who quite enjoyed our time in Frankfort, the retreat was very close to the Betsie River, small lakes and Lake Michigan, church, and restaurants.

Great Cabin, beautiful view

Little gem on hill. Private with beautiful view, lots of space, clean, and close to town. Property owner and manager were pleasant, communicated quickly. Has coffee maker, keurig, dishes, soap, paper towel, TP, lots of towels. Would recommend!

Great house

This is a very nice house with a beautiful view. We visited with kids and they had a great time. There is a fireplace and a beautiful terrace for viewing sunsets. There is a projector in the basement. The internet was fast enough for us to stream Netflix on some evenings.
