The home was gorgeous and had everything you needed. It was a wonderful get away for the family. The host were very accommodating and would recommend to others to stay there. We looked forward to coming back.

What a beautifully appointed house! We felt like we were in a high-end lodge in Colorado! Very clean with a modern kitchen and lots of nuanced amenities. The property is secluded and scenic and Jana and her husband were wonderful to work with! They were quite attentive to making sure our stay was comfortable and non-stressed. We certainly will be back!

Gorgeous property, tranquil setting. Lots of room for us to spread out. Loved the deck overlooking the backyard, the kitchen and living areas are we spent most of our time. The beds were comfy and the extra blankets were awesome. I wish we had stayed longer.

We had an excellent stay. The moment you walk in the door you are greeted with beautiful, vaulted ceilings, fireplace, wrap around deck, and a horse stable next door. The house is built with every detail in mind.The owners are kind and friendly, with quick response to questions. We used Galena Winery Tours for a fun day, went to downtown Galena for a ghost tour, and saw the Halloween parade.

Amazing property! Absolutely gorgeous log home on a beautiful ranch with private hiking trails.Beautiful attention to detail. Huge bedrooms and bathrooms. Chef’s kitchen, huge living area. Large patio area with comfortable chairs and fire table. Hot tub. Large smart TVs. We decided to splurge this year and don’t regret it one bit! The hosts were great and very responsive.

Our family had an amazing stay at the Timber Ranch! The house has that wow factor the moment you walk in - soaring ceilings, an open layout, and beautiful natural finishes throughout. We had 8 adults and 3 kids, and it fit all of us comfortably with room to spare!Jana and Mike were incredible hosts - so responsive both during booking and throughout our stay. Truly above and beyond with their hospitality.The location was perfect - a short drive to downtown Galena with plenty to do nearby. We played a round at The General and even went on a goat hike - both were unforgettable experiences!I highly recommend the Timber Ranch and would absolutely stay here again!

We did a girls retreat at this amazing property Timber Range. From the moment we made a reservation, the owner contacted us to welcome and offer if we need any information about the area. Jana and Mike are not only great communicators they are lovely, open people. As the property is across from their horse farm we also were able to tour the stables with them. About the property itself it is Beautiful, Spacious, Spotless. Location and landscapes are unbelievable. the Beautiful, large deck is the perfect spot for morning coffee, panoramic views, incredible sunset and in our case for morning yoga, and afternoon sessions. We definitely will be back.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful property in Galena, IL. The home is spacious, with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, offering plenty of room for our group to spread out and relax. The layout is perfect for larger groups or families, with each bedroom providing comfort and privacy. The highlight for us was the large deck and the hot tub – we spent the mornings and evenings unwinding in the tub, and the expansive yard was perfect for outdoor games and enjoying the fresh air.The location was ideal—just a short drive to downtown Galena, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. The house is well-maintained and beautifully decorated, with thoughtful touches throughout that made our stay feel special. We had an unforgettable stay at the stunning Timber Ranch! From the moment we arrived, we were in awe of the peaceful surroundings, gorgeous landscapes, and thoughtful touches throughout the property. The home itself was beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway.Waking up to the sounds of nature and enjoying coffee on the porch with panoramic views was a daily highlight. The sunsets were incredible, and the night sky was filled with stars—perfect for unwinding around the fire pit. The host was welcoming, responsive, and made sure we felt right at home. Whether you’re looking for a quiet escape, family vacation or a getaway with friends this ranch has it all. We can’t wait to come back!

I’ve stayed at a lot of rental places in my life but nothing came close to the Timber Ranch. Great communication with the owners, perfect location, and had a ton of space for the bachelor party. Highly recommend staying here!

Most AMAZING property that has it ALL!

This property is truly a gem, making us feel at home yet at a 5-star resort! We traveled for a last minute July 4th holiday visit to see family in Dubuque and hit an absolute jackpot in the Galena Territories! The house was perfect for our three 20-something kids, spouses, and our first 7 month old grandson. The rooms are all huge, the beds were extremely comfy and there were so many special little touches! Mike and Jana were amazing hosts, providing yard and board games and helpful suggestions of local events and attractions to maximize our experience. They thought of everything from having a pack-and-play in a built in quiet room for little ones, a comfy nursing chair, to a shower chair for senior or injured guests. The view was impeccable and they created a perfectly manicured walking trail on the grounds. The hosts live across the way where they have beautiful horses to admire. Their love of horses inspired their theme for the lodge. We felt very blessed to spend time in this home to celebrate our matriarch’s 83rd birthday!

Our amazing hosts brought us champagne to celebrate their first guests.
