The relaxing weekend that we wanted. Easy access to the beach and pools. The condo had a beautiful deck to watch the sunrise and relax in the evening. The beds and living area were very comfortable and decorated beautifully. We would definitely recommend staying at this rental.

The condo and view of the beach were beautiful! We were pleased with the quality of the furniture, beds, linens, dishes, appliances. The air conditioner had an issue was leaking and putting out mildew smell air. Husband bought new air filter to get us through the weekend. Owner was responsive until they weren’t. Never heard back from them…

Beautiful and comfortable

We throughly enjoy our stay with everything just as described. The location was perfect, right next the Beach Club. Very comfortable beds, beautiful views. I would highly recommend.

Wonderful vacation location!!

We loved our stay at Above the Waves. The owners couldn't be more accommodating and the condo, its furnishings, the spectacular views, all made for a wonderful vacation. Can't wait to return! Cindy Davis

Terrific beach getaway

Terrific beach condo. Great location with a short, easy walk to the beach. Wonderful, expansive view from the balcony. Unit was comfortable, well appointed, and had a full locker of beach gear to borrow.

Convenience and everything you need!

Owners were extremely generous, attentive and kind. Location of property which was close to beach and close to beach club was convenient! Large porch overlooking the beach was beautiful. House and beach locker were stocked with everything you’d need! Especially convenient was the use of owners’ numerous beach towels. Wonderful weekend!

Great condo, perfect location

Just book it!!! Beautiful condo with beach front views and steps from the Beach club. Everything you need in the kitchen and bedrooms for the perfect vacation. The owners were wonderful and the check in/out process was simple.

Great spot by the pool

Loved the location but door lock was overly difficult. We had another condo during the same stay and that was very easy to use. Our parents are in their 80’s and had college age grandkids with them. None of us could get that lock / password to work. Had to resort to one real key for 6 people. Otherwise, great place!!!!

Paradise on the Gulf

Above the Waves exceeded all my expectations! We have vacationed at Pointe West for five years. Above the Waves out-scored all the other condos, hands down! The owners were wonderful to work with, the home was beautifully appointed, it was sparkling clean and everything we could have possibly wanted or needed was at our fingertips for our use. The view from the balcony was amazing! Already looking forward to 2024 at Above the Waves! Sheryl L

Multiple Stays In

We have been to this property multiple summers now and love it. This was our first year to experience first day challenges. The cleaning crew definitely went a little fast in flipping this one for our arrival, and we spent the first few minutes wiping down surfaces that still had food, cleaning out fridge, etc. Not a big deal, as sometimes that happens (contractors). But soon after, the air conditioner stopped. And no A/C in Galveston in the summer is a non-starter. Owners were so apologetic and had an A/C Tech on phone with me that night to see if I could troubleshoot, and then had someone on-site at 8a the next day, fixed soon after. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, even with the challenges of the first 24 hours. As always, we fully use the kitchen to cook meals, take advantage of the many beach toys that the owners keep available, and certainly use the pool at the club. It’s a great property with incredible views and a great breeze on the patio.

Most Impressive Condo Ever!

‘Above the Waves’ was the most impressive condo to which we have ever stayed! Because this condo is nearly 20 miles from a Galveston proper, the owners made sure you have everything you need during your stay. So many amenities provided for your convenience. Beautiful and tastefully decorated, comfortable, views for miles, steps to the beach, and private. Our expectations were met and exceeded! Private balcony, huge swimming pool, lazy river, books, movies, great TV, comfortable bed! The list goes on! You will not regret booking ‘Above the Waves’!

Fantastic beach condo

This is one of the best condos I’ve rented! The owners have thought of everything. Lovely decorations, nice bedding, well-stocked kitchen. Even a beach cart for use! Highly recommended.

Wonderful condo!

We loved this property! The layout was great, having two sitting areas was nice, the view was amazing as was the balcony space and furniture. There were many “extras” provided that made everything easier such as spices, throws, books, thoughtful decor and beach towels! The condo was extremely nice and the owners have thought of everything!

Perfect place for our family trip

This property is beautiful and the owners are amazing. Everything was perfect. The space was huge for our family of 4. The huge deck with a beautiful view, was great for hanging out. My kids loved both pools, but the heated lazy river was definitely a hit. The beach toys and wagon was great to have and we used daily. We will def stay again.

Repeat customer for this condo

We've stayed in this condo before, the space is great for multiple families. The kitchen had everything that we needed, plenty of seating in the living room and appreciated the extra sitting area on the other side of the kitchen for our teens to hang out and play their games. Love this condo and it's access to the beach.

Beautiful condo in great location

This property was absolutely beautiful and well-stocked with everything we needed inside and on the beach. We had everything we needed to cook for our large party (5 adults, 3 kids). Beds were super comfortable and living room sectional was large. Lots of indoor activities (games, puzzles, great books). Pool area is a short walk away and we especially enjoyed the large hot tub. Beach also a short walk away. Could not have asked for a better location. Only downside is the unit is beneath another and we could hear people walking on floor above us.

Perfect for us

We loved everything about our stay. The location was perfect, close to the club house and beach. The extras were so helpful so we could pack lighter... pack n play, high chair, beach wagon, canopy, beach towels, chairs. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. Everything seemed clean, which we really appreciate. We hope to stay here again!

Beautiful, well equipped, convenient and very attentive property owner

This was our favorite place we have stayed in Pointe West so far! The condo has literally everything we needed, was beautifully decorated and beds were super comfortable! We had a little trouble with check in but the owner was very responsive and helpful! The condo is very conveniently located within the resort, making getting to the beach and using the pool and game room so easy!

Blissful

We truly had a blissfully wonderful stay over the July 4th week! Upon our arrival, the condo was very clean, updated and decorated so beautifully. The beachfront views from the balcony are perfection for sipping morning coffee or just hanging out enjoying the ocean breeze. :) The beds are extremely comfortable, too! My family and I slept very well and woke up so refreshed each day. The condo was very spacious and well stocked with anything we needed. The storage closet downstairs is also stocked with a variety of beach toys, boogie boards, chairs, wagon, tent, etc! The sweet owner, Lisa, even dropped off a new tent during our stay after the one we used from the closet finally gave out. That was incredibly kind! The condo is also in a perfect location and so convenient to the beach pier, pool and restaurant. Overall the condo was exceptional, and we plan to stay again next summer! Highly recommend!
