“The location was nice”

“The pictures online were deceiving as well as the description. It was nothing like what it looked like online. The property outside was littered with fast food bags and containers. There cigarette butts all over the grass area at the back by the bay. The fire pit ran out of propane and wasn’t replaced when mentioned to staff. The rooms were very basic. Ours had a hot plate with dishes and frying pans but no where to wash them except in the bathroom. Toilet paper was interesting. Overall not...

“The place is clean, quiet, and friendly. And yes, it is on the beach. However, the facility is basic and overpriced. It was like being in a barracks in the middle of a gravel parking lot.”

“Excellent hostess Lili - a wonderful Soul. The breakfasts provided delicious. The Davis Brook Retreat such a serene place for rejuvenation. We spent majority of our time on chaise lounges in the back yard listening to the song birds and wind chimes. A wee disappointment was the pool not really heated. Nowhere in website did it say pool not heated. Managed to get into pool once but not for long - rather cold. Did use hot tub once also. Overall a lovely stay. Will go again.”

“Small 4 room hotel attached to marina general store in the village of Egmont. Lots of character! Every room has a spectacular view of the channel. Clean comfortable and a decently equipped kitchenette. Friendly staff. A unique stay.”
