“The location was nice”

“There was so much light coming through the blinds we did not need any lights in room at night. Sounds did not travel through walls so that was good. The bathroom was just wall papered over rusty nails, sink faucet poured water all over cabinet and was delaminating the cabinet. Came with hot plate and dishes but no sink to wash them. Last customers food was rotting in fridge. Ac worked for about 5hrs and then shut off”

“The place is clean, quiet, and friendly. And yes, it is on the beach. However, the facility is basic and overpriced. It was like being in a barracks in the middle of a gravel parking lot.”

“Room was clean and spacious, was pleased that the kitchenette had enough basic kitchenware, pots and pans etc that we could make dinner and breakfast. Location is lovely, across the street from the public market and the harbour. We went for long evening and morning walks along the harbour. Very nice place to stay! “Excellent hostess Lili - a wonderful Soul. The breakfasts provided delicious. The Davis Brook Retreat such a serene place for rejuvenation. We spent majority of our time on chaise lounges in the back yard listening to the song birds and wind chimes. A wee disappointment was the pool not really heated. Nowhere in website did it say pool not heated. Managed to get into pool once but not for long - rather cold. Did use hot tub once also. Overall a lovely stay. Will go again.”
