“Things I loved:
- The staff was very helpful and friendly.
- The breakfast buffet was delicious and had many selections
- the bed was comfortable
- room service was fast and affordable
- the room was cleaned every day I was there
Areas for improvement:
- The lighting by the mirror in the bathroom was not sufficient. Need more lights
- The shower heads need to be cleaned and decalcified with vinegar
- The toilet would flush inconsistently
- Would be great to have a small shelf or stand in the...

“The property is a bit old, however there are benefits with older ones. Room was larger than newer hotels, but most importantly it was clean, staff were very polite and friendly, and the location is best.
The lobby was also spacious and very welcoming. ”

“Letaknya strategis, tidak jauh dari simpang lima dan pusat perbelanjaan, Kamar dan kamar mandi yang bersih dan nyaman. Hotel baru berdiri 2 tahun. Yang kurang hanya kapasitas parkir yang terbatas dan variasi makanan di restaurant, serta rasa nya plain”
“Dopo alcuni anni di assenza da Semarang sono tornato ed ho scelto il Grand Arkenso Hotel, ex Hotel Horison,hotel che ho sempre frequentato. Non ho trovato nulla di cambiato, a parte il nome. Molto cortesi alla reception; essendo arrivato prima dell'orario di check-in mi avrebbero dato una camera fumatori, ma ho aspettato un po' e mi hanno dato un camera anche con upgrade. Aveva infatti un bel divano ed era molto grande. Sempre ottima la colazione, molto varia e la piscina è sempre uno...

“Got the third floor so it’s quiet. Aircon is functioning well. Shower area is pretty old but hot water works fine. Unlimited drinking water so pretty good for me. Waited for the train to another town at midnight so we relaxed and sat at the lounge. Aircon not cold though in this area coz I think they didn’t close the doors all the time. Overall with this budget price, you get what you pay for. Not bad. ”
