“We weren't able to sit outside with the fire from propane. There is supposedly a ban but we have friends that live in buncombe also who us are Brie fire pit. ”

“We had a wonderful stay at Holly’s Romantic Mountain Retreat. The cabin was spotless, beautifully maintained, and even more spacious than we expected. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, making it feel comfortable and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The setting was peaceful and relaxing, and the property provided the perfect mountain getaway. We especially appreciated how clean everything was and how well-equipped the cabin was for a comfortable stay.Holly was a fantastic host, and it was...

“Great place to stay!”

“Beautiful views and relaxing home for our family getaway!”

“Spacious house and great location to pop into town or go on hikes etc.! Clean upon arrival, and our large family including one toddler enjoyed the different spaces including the “book book.” A few house features were difficult to figure out at the onset which was disappointing — no clear instructions for the golf simulator, a sauna that was not usable while there and with no instructions, and some overgrown shrubs making the stairs difficult to access for some family members. On the whole...

“this is a mountain retreat with a great view looking west and is in a secluded area but close to everything you need. there is a steep driveway to navigate, once you’re here it is very relaxing.”

“Great views from back deck and a great location. Close to everything. Look forward to going back.”

“Great stay, higher end property, beautiful views, and excellent game room for kids to play in while adults relax.”

“Need to dust all vents. Still seeing bugs, and possibly a critter in the walls. He/she wanted to say hello all night! Otherwise a great property! In a nice neighborhood….close to everything!”

“We loved the location of this property, private feeling and with trees all around. The smells and sounds of summer and nature were very relaxing. We loved the outdoor space and the windows which afforded a lovely view no matter where you looked. It was a like a tree house get away. There are stairs to get to the front door and stairs to get down to the 2nd bathroom and beds on the “basement” level. The downstairs can only be accessed from the outside and is completely separate from the main...

“Private home, great for a large group. Dogs were permitted, which was a big plus for our family. Plenty of kitchenware to prepare meals. Outdoor BBQ had propane included. Hot tub was clean and ready to use.”

“What a wonderful house to bring a family to! Big, comfortable rooms. Well appointed kitchen. Lovely setting and quiet neighborhood. My family absolutely loved the screened in porch with the hammock swings. They sat out there and watched a movie during the evening. Ample bedroom spaces, great bathroom spaces and wonderfully cool for me who can’t stand the heat. I would definitely stay here again.”

“The house is nice. Neighborhood is beautiful. Cheshire is lovely and we loved the pub! However, the highway down below is active and noticeable. We noticed a musty smell upon arrival and wondered if the house had been closed up for a while. It subsided but if you’re sensitive to air quality it’s of note. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is stocked for cooking. One of the best kitchens we seen in a VRBO. The hot tub was serviced during our stay(each Tuesday) and was very clean. We...

“This is the cleanest rental house we have ever stayed in! You can tell the cleaning people do a thorough job and this really sets the house apart from others. We did not cook in the kitchen but there were plenty of stocked utensils and cookware and many other amenities throughout. The photos in the listing represent the property well. The neighborhood is so cute and cozy and you get a lot of house for the price. The proximity to The Blue Ridge Parkway is also a plus. We would stay here again.”

“The host is fantastic at communication and does a great job making sure everything is great for your stay. The property is beautiful and well maintained. Could not ask for more!”

“We have rented the same property for the last four or five years and love it. The host goes above and beyond, and I highly recommend both the house and the hostess and host.”

“The home was perfect, it had everything.Super organized. Great location.Would definitely stay here againJohn and Joan”
