“The motel is older, and rooms could use a refresh, but everything was clean, the room was cozy, and the bed was comfortable. My ferry crossing to Newfoundland was delayed, so I had to extend my stay for a second night, and staff were extremely helpful to deal with. As a solo traveler, it worked out fine, and was within my budget.”

“This was one of our favourite stays while visiting Nova Scotia/Cape Breton. The hostess was very friendly and helpful and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sydney. Loved that it was so centrally located as well! We were able to walk to and from the...

“The staff really tried given what they had to deal with. I don’t blame them. The owners need to take serious stock of this place. Maybe it’s a money pit? I’m not sure, but you should replace TV’s that don’t work, and mattresses with blood stains. I had to ask for a different room as the first one offered was horrific. The second wasn’t much better. The door looked like someone kicked it in and the numbers missing. I was told there would be coffee at 8am. No one was there. I waited for 1/2 an...
