“We stayed at Deer Hut on 26th August for our anniversary. Unfortunately, the stay was not as comfortable as we expected. When we opened the door, there were lots of flies around the lights, and the back window was open when we arrived. There was also a spider in the bathroom, which made my wife very scared and uncomfortable. Because of these issues, we couldn’t relax properly and didn’t sleep well that night. “Clean, neat and tidy. Very good communication with the host. Very nice.”

“We hebben een fantastische 9 dagen vakantie gehad in de stallen. Een erg vriendelijk en behulpzame gastvrouw. bij aan komst een heerlijk welkomst pakket en een heerlijk flesje wijn. Voor iedereen die een fan is van de National trust is dit de ideale accommodatie alles is op korte afstand bereikbaar en een rustpunt na een dag in de English Country. Donald en Anneke (Holland)”

“What a lovely cottage. So quiet and peaceful. We only stayed for a couple of nights. Next time, however, we'll stay for longer.”

The neighbourhood offers a Lidl very close by and several take away restaurants (we recommend the Turkish kebab restaurant!). Communication with Jasmine was...

“If you love a peaceful country retreat then this is for you. Wildlife all around. The owner could not be more helpful. Peacocks at the back door herds of dear and flocks of amazing rheas much better than advertised. You do need a car with good clearance for the track through the forest but it's worth it as it all ads to the amazing adventure. Thank you once again to our host Martin who meets guests at the gate to lead you through the forest.”

“Property was a very interesting cottage and full of character and old charm. There were lots of books and games for evening or bad days. Louise was a perfect host and made us very welcome and we will definitely return.”
