  • Cozy beachside studio overlooking Lake Superior sits right on the beach. Simple and charming room with log beams, wood floors and big views. Queen size bed looks out at the sun and moon rises, vanity, private bath with shower and toilet. There's a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Located right downtown Grand Marais, you can walk to all the restaurants for meals. Enjoy a beach fire in the evenings, or stream a movie on the free wi-fi. Basic accommodations, but you'll love the quaint charm and unparalleled location.

Arrived in the first week in May. The season was barely starting and many businesses were closed or operating at reduced hours. Still it is beautiful and if quiet is what your after. What could be better than a private beach. Loved watching the sun rise over the water. Short walks to the bakery for morning coffee and breakfast at the diner next door. More shops would be open in late May but more people as well. This place suited me quite well. I recommend it.

Stellar location, walking distance to everything in town, including the lighthouse and Artist’s Point. Wake up to the crashing waves of Lake Superior and an amazing view. This was my 2nd stay and I hope to stay again!

Great location

We stay here every time we come to Grand Marais. It’s a perfect spot on the water and right in town so you can walk everywhere. A good place to head out on the paddleboard, have an evening fire, quick walk to shops and restaurants.

Great little getaway

This was the perfect little spot to stay for my Grand Marais solo-cation. The location and view can’t be beat! It’s definitely a bare-bones stay, but that’s all I really needed for this trip. I’d definitely stay here again!

This is our 4th time staying here and after having come at least once a year, often twice - in the summer and winter - for over 30 years, this is our favority place to stay. It is "our" little home right on the beach and right in town.

Great place to stay; right in the heart of Grand Marais and on the beach. Perfect location; walkable to everywhere in town and many good restaurants.The place is clean and pretty quiet. As stated in other reviews, you can hear the creaking of the upstairs tenants and some muffled voices, but not after 8 or 9 at night. The best part is that you can open the windows and fall asleep to the waves.

Fantastic Location

We loved every minute of our stay in Grand Marais. This property was perfect for my partner and I to unwind and take in the sunrise over the lake. Can't beat the location or views!

The location is perfect…you can walk to shops, restaurants, coffee, bakery and then being right on the beach was amazing! The room is very comfortable with amazing views of the lake! We loved it!

Grand Marais Beach Bungalow

It's a little rustic, but you can overlook those things pretty easily with the full view of the beach & water through a wall of windows. You have a relatively private beach area with two Adirondack chairs and a fire pit. The village is right out your front door. We would stay there again.

A weekend away

My husband and I stayed here to spend some time on the shores of superior taking in the views and spending quality time with each other, it was the perfect place to disconnect from our every day lives, slow down and unwind.
