Castillos en Great Sacandaga Lake

“The first disappointment was how close by the road was.It makes sense for an old hotel, but I found the constant noise and traffic unpleasant and certainly for sitting on the verandah. Also no breakfast is served which is mentioned on website though it definitely was not happening. And lastly I found it tacky to demand a dollar each for drinks in the beverage area.If it costs that much they could incorporate it in the room charge. It just seems unwelcoming”

“La habitación y la limpieza”

“Never disappoints!”

“All around just a cute little place. Very clean and perfect with the fenced in yard for our dogs. This however, does not seem like a side road. Very fast traffic. Busy with motorcycles and racing cars. We walked our pups down to the beach just once to find out it is not pet friendly none of the beaches around there were so that put a bit of a damper on our trip.We will be back next time without them ”

“Owner was extremely nice and accommodating. We had expected to have dinner there but they were not serving.”

“The property served our needs for a one night stay in Caroga Lake. Finding the place was a bit of a nightmare. We had no wireless service in the area and the host did not provide very good directions. As we had no cell phone service, we could not call the host. We ended up going to the pist office and we were fortunate that a gentleman who was picking up his mail helped direct us to the unit otherwise we would have never found it. The unit was a bit rustic for my wife’s taste. Also, there were...

“Perfect stay near family. We were able to stay 2 lovely nights in this beautiful home. Comfortable double bed with washer and dryer. King size bed in the master. Upstairs and downstairs bathroom was convenient.”

“Overall, we enjoyed our stay. But the outdoors needs work. Positive: -Easy Check-in, they even let us arrive an hour early. -Inside was clean, inviting and stocked with towels.-Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed except sharp knives, but I picked up a sharpener and left it for the next guests. -The indoor space was as described. -The outside front porch was cleanNegative: -The "Steps" to the dock are a huge accident waiting to happen. The rocks are loose and there are no longer steps...

“Beautiful place in a beautiful area. Great communication and responsiveness by host. Amenities as described. Would highly recommend. ”

“Buen servicio y el lugar muy limpio”

“Great accommodations for any getaway. There is enough to do right at the Pulpit House, you don't even need to plan other entertainment. Our family has stayed in many VRBO rentals and this is by far our favorite, just because of the convenience and atmosphere. There is dining and a small convenience store in very short walking distance, as well as a park for children. We highly recommend a stay here, and plan to return.”

“Súper sucia todo en mal estado y de desayuno solo café pesimo”

“Beautiful. Very quiet and private. Pictures didn't do it justice. A great weekend getaway for us and the pups!”

“Clean, new, and beautiful location.”

“Great house and location for my family.”

“We had an amazing stay! everything is exactly as listed! looking forward to staying in the future!”

“Spectacular interior spaces and super friendly owner. The interior is filled with incredible woodwork, especially grand staircase. Our suite was large and comfortable. Books everywhere to read. Great amount of satisfying choices for breakfast. We were pleasantly stuffed afterwards. Close to several restaurants. We were biking the Erie Canal Trail from Syracuse to Amsterdam NY and it was very convenient, close to trail and owner insisted on having our bikes inside. Loved it!!!”
