Pleased with weekend getaway

A Cozy Cabin

This cabin is beautiful and so cozy! One of the best appointed places we’ve ever stayed. If you’re looking for a cozy, traditional cabin vibe in a place with tons of amenities you can’t go wrong with this place.

Relaxing and luxurious!

Exceeded my expectations! The property itself was stunning- the cabin was spacious and had all the supplies you need from kitchen stuff, to extra blankets and pillows, to board games, to a cabinet full of contact information. Communication was always very clear and prompt. Lots to do in the area and on the complex itself! The clubhouse also has really good food and is very kid friendly! There was also another side that was adults only and singing karaoke so there really is something for everyone.

Cozy Christmas Getaway-Perfect Retreat!

We had the most wonderful stay at this charming cabin over Christmas! From the moment we arrived, we felt at home—cozy, warm, and welcoming, with every detail thoughtfully planned to create the perfect holiday atmosphere. The cabin had everything we needed, from a fully stocked kitchen to a fireplace that added an extra touch of comfort on those cold winter nights. The decor was festive and inviting, making our Christmas experience even more magical.The location was perfect too—secluded enough for peace and quiet, but close enough to local attractions for easy exploration. Whether we were relaxing on the porch, enjoying the view, or playing games inside, it felt like the ideal retreat for a winter escape.I highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a cozy, peaceful getaway. We had such a great time and would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you CJ!!

Cozy Cabin Weekend

This cabin was absolutely delightful. The gas fireplace was warm and cozy and was great to just relax around. The kitchen is well appointed, We really enjoyed our stay.

The property is amazing, it is a very charming cabin, and it is well stocked with essential items. The setting is very nice, and the location is fairly close to a lot of things to see and do. CJ is very nice to work with, he communicates frequently and timely and checks in to see how things are going. The only slight hiccup we had was CJ offered us the day before our stay at a discount since it was open and we gladly took it and went up after work. When we got there the person at check in didn't have the update which was an issue on their end, and it took a bit to sort out. Other than that, everything was great. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a charming cabin to stay at.

The Pause That Refreshes

We absolutely loved our stay at the Bear Pause Retreat. Great communication - we were the first people staying after the summer and when we needed heat, we got it fixed fast. Loved the porch, the swing, the outdoor furnishings. And inside, the house is absolutely stunning. A definite winner. Gave us a taste for the Poconos.

Bear Pause Retreat

Beautifully decorated and VERY clean log cabin. Bear Pause Retreat had everything our family needed including plenty of fresh towels and clean linens. The Hideout Community has a lot to offer if you love the outdoors as much as we do. Host was a pleasure to deal with. We stayed for a week and would definitely go back!

A great family vacation

We enjoyed our stay at Bear Pause Retreat. Plenty of room for our family of 5. Everything was clean and comfortable- linens and towels were included which made packing easier. The Hideout amenities were great for our boys. We swam at the lake beach, played tennis and mini-golf. Even lucked out and caught the fireworks on the lake on the day we arrived. We cooked in the kitchen and went to a couple of the local restaurants. Also visited the nearby zoo and family fun park. Owner was very responsive to communication. A relaxing vacation!

Retreat

Security at the entrance was challenging, however, as a single woman, I felt safe because of it. Cabin is Beautiful & Immaculate. Needed more time to become more familiar with the area. The girls (friends since 1st grade) both want to return. I'll be planning our next trip soon & so will my buddies who want to return with their families. Thank you Charles !

Excellent Relaxing & Peaceful Place

We loved the location!!!. The rooms were nicely laid out. Lots of comfort and space. An incredibly quiet and relaxed place. Everything we needed was there in the cabin. It was a wonderful weekend. Loved it!

We really enjoyed our stay at bear pause retreat. Cabin was beautiful and it’s located in a wonderful community. Everything was accurate to the photos online. We were able to go out and enjoy the private ski hill and relaxed by the fire pit at night. Would absolutely stay here again!

Charles was a very responsive host. The cabin is clean, comfortable, and cozy! The bed was comfortable and the rain shower in the downstairs bath was fantastic! We had a great stay and would definitely recommend the cabin !

Amazing Stay! Perfect Cabin!

My husband and I decided to rent the cabin for a few days to celebrate our anniversary. The pictures do not do it justice! It is so cozy and comfortable! I loved the way it was decorated as well. Just what I was imagining when I was looking for a cozy cabin retreat. There are some really good restaurants nearby as well. We got lucky and it happened to snow one night, with big, thick snowflakes and everything seemed so picturesque. Charles is a great house manager. Super helpful and communicative. Great amenities as well! Loved the stay! Was absolutely magical. Can’t wait to do it again!

Beautiful log cabin, perfect place for a fall get-away. Great walking path around the lake, almost 4 miles. The cabin inside is very nice, felt like kitchen and bathrooms were like new, good Wi-Fi, loved the gas fireplace, already had YouTube TV logged in. In summary, great cabin feel with the modern conveniences we expect.
