“We enjoyed our stay at The Dorothy very much. It was like being home away from home. The host was easily available to help with any questions. It was clean, well supplied with everything we might need and then some. Everything we wanted to do was within 5 to 10 miles away. It was a quiet neighborhood, well maintained, and very comfortable. Lots of games and things to do in the basement and TVs in the bedrooms and living room. All in all, it was perfect.”

“It was clean, the communication was great, check in was very easy. The did provide nice little thoughts with cleaning supplies, extra tp , and coffee pods. Also the washer / dryer is a great perk. It is about 10 mins or so south of SJ downtown and beaches but I was born and raised in SJ so understood this before booking. It did smell very musty, which I know the owners were trying to fix as there are air purifiers in several spots. The AC was window units not central air. The beds were...

“We had a wonderful moms/dayghters weekend away. The house was perfect for us as 3 moms and daughters - each having our own space and the college girls getting the bunk room to share stories and giggle as much as they desired. It’s a great location for visiting wineries and relaxing after a long semester/fall. ”

“Great place - no questions at all about how clean it is - just move your stuff in and start enjoying the place. Good location - and great restaurant within two blocks if you miss the Thistledown & Row restaurant you will have missed the best in the area. Place is quiet, comfortable we will be returning”

“The place was fantastic! It had everything we needed. The back yard with the hot tub and fire pit was a peaceful place to gang out. Location was great. Will rent again.”

“Our biggest issue was the place had a strong smell kind of like wet dog. Our friend with allergies had a very hard time breathing. The water smell was not good. I understand it was well water but I felt have felt they should have provided a jug of drinking water. The mattresses and pillows were stained and several outlets and TVs did not work. The owners however were responsive during our visit and helped when I had difficulty with the key pad (my error not theirs).”
