We did a manager retreat, and this space was perfect for what we needed. We used the big dining table during the day for meetings and relaxed in the living room at night. It was also very close to restaurants and a coffee shop, which was perfect.

The property was cute, but the firepit seemed very unsafe with regards to its location under a large tree and power line. I would not recommend using it, as it seems like a serious safety hazard.

Birthday weekend

We stayed for our twins 21st. Journeyman’s was our destination for mini golf, distillery tour, and dinner. We were within walking distance, 2 blocks. It was absolutely perfect. The house was big enough for all of us to sleep and be comfy. The outdoor seating was lovely and we enjoyed it.

Alison was incredibly quick to respond, and the house was spotless with many lovely design features. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the bedrooms offered plenty of space. Plus, the location is just a short walk from the main strip, filled with a variety of restaurants and shops. We even had the chance to enjoy their annual Christmas parade! Highly recommend anyone to book this lovely home

Adorable!

We loved our stay in this lovely home! Even better than the pictures and the pictures are fabulous! We took the short walk every morning to the adorable downtown for a wonderful breakfast! We can’t wait to come back! The owner was quick to respond to our wifi questions. We absolutely loved this home!

Granor Farm Camp - home for the week

We wanted our 5 year old to attend Granor Farm Camp so we rented this home in 3 Oaks for the week. There was myself, my husband and two kids. Everything was great! House was exactly as described. Clean, comfortable, modern and well stocked. The hosts were very prepared and responsive. The location was great; easy walk to coffee, ice cream, restaurants and playgrounds. We would definitely stay again!

Nice, modern, tasteful, and comfortable home. The primary bedroom is comfortable and great for sleeping - king bed and blackout curtains. Nice sleeping areas upstairs. Chill back porch and separate fire pit area. Beaches 10-15 minute drive. Great pizza, bakery, breakfast, ice cream, bottle shop, and distillery all a short walk away. Unless you’re forking over serious cash to stay lakefront, Three Oaks is the place to be in Harbor Country.

Great house for a girls getaway!

This house was perfect for four of us girls on a long weekend to getaway. The house has all been updated and we were so impressed with the cleanliness of the house. There were plenty of rooms and bathrooms for us to have room to get ready. We had great communication with Alison before and after our stay and the check in process was seamless. You can’t go wrong with this property! Three Oaks is a cute, quiet little town just 10 minutes from New Buffalo. It has a great pizza place and coffee shop as well as Journeyman Distillery, which we really enjoyed too.

The house is exactly as pictured, beautiful and clean! Neighborhood was peaceful. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with all the necessities. Highly recommend!

Perfect Girls Weekend Getaway

This property is exactly as listed (and even cuter in reality). The location is perfect; everything within 2 blocks! The house is super cozy and decorated beautifully. And it was stocked with everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Alison the property manager was super responsive! Three Oaks may have just become our annual getaway spot, and we will 100% look to stay at the Modern Oak again.

annual girls weekend

Every January my friends and I go for a weekend away to Michigan. Modern Oak exceeded our expectations for space, privacy and convenience to town. This home was beautifully renovated and decorated. The bedrooms were very comfortable and spacious. Even the bunk bed in the hallway nook was private and comfortable. January is rarely ideal for the outdoors but this home would be great of cool nights and hot summers. A few of the girls want to come back in the summer with family. We would definitely rent here again.

Best equipped and supplied kitchen ever. No need to run out when you get there to find out there's something you need that wasn't supplied. (I hate getting to a place and have to run out right away to get basic supplies.) There was coffee, tea, creamer, sugar, oil and spray for cooking; a toaster, blender, coffee pot and push coffee too, electric tea kettle, paper towel, plenty of dishwashing fluid and dishwasher soap, plastic food bags, aluminum foil and plastic wrap, much much more plus all the things you'd expect in a kitchen. Very spacious home, massive TV screens in living room and 2 bedrooms. Three bedrooms upstairs with a bathroom and one bedroom downstairs with 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen, breakfast area, dining room, back patio, grill....The entire home was immaculate. Definitely would go back. Very walkable to Journeyman's Distillery and restaurant. A great getaway.

What beautiful accommodations for our family of 6 and our infant granddaughter! Within walking distance to Journeyman Distillery, and downtown Three Oaks. The house was spotless and had all modern amenities. Alison is a wonderful host; Highly recommend!
