  • Welcome to BlueDoor Chalet — a cozy Northern Michigan getaway just 0.4 miles from Nubs Nob and across the street from The Highlands at Harbor Springs.

    Set on a private, wooded 2-acre lot in the Hidden Hamlet association, this welcoming chalet is ideal for ski weekends, golf trips, family getaways, and relaxing Up North escapes. Enjoy cathedral ceilings, abundant natural light, central AC, comfortable sleeping spaces, and easy access to skiing, biking, hiking, golf, downtown Harbor Springs, and Petoskey.

    Prime location: Walk or drive down Tyrol to the Nubs Nob ticket window and green lift, then return home to relax by the deck, yard, or cozy living space.

    Gear-friendly setup: The clean, dry basement/garage area includes space for skis and outdoor gear, plus a boot dryer, laundry, ski bench, and extra trash and recycling bins.

    Outdoor living: In warmer months, enjoy the large wrap-around deck with a BroilKing grill and 6-person dining table. The spacious side yard offers room for horseshoes, a fire, and a short hike up the hill for a great view.

    Winter note: The chalet sits on a steep hillside, so use caution when walking or parking near the garage. A 4x4 vehicle is required during winter conditions, and YakTrax are provided for guest use.

    Dog friendly: Small dogs are welcome (under 20 lbs) with the nightly pet fee shown at checkout. Pets must be leashed outdoors and cleaned up after.

    Well-stocked kitchen: Cook with ease using the Keurig drip/K-cup coffee maker, toaster, electric skillet, crockpot, air fryer, blender, quality cookware, pantry basics, coffee, kids’ dishes, and outdoor-friendly plates.

    Comforts included: WiFi, a 55” QLED Smart TV in the main living area, a 43” Smart TV in the loft

    Towels, sheets, pillows, and paper products provided. Cooling sheets and hypoallergenic pillows. iComfort Queen mattresses and USB lamps with a tray in bedrooms.

    After a day on the slopes, trails, or golf course, BlueDoor Chalet is the perfect spot to unwind, recharge, and enjoy everything Harbor Springs has to offer.

Great chalet, close to everything.

We had a great time staying here. Beautiful place, tons of room, very clean and convenient to Skiing and Harbor Springs/Petosky.

We loved the quiet secluded ski chalet. Very close to Harbour Springs for dinning and shopping but out of the town hustle. Great spot to stay.

Great holiday stay!

Perfect setting for our early holiday family (& dogs) ski/snowboard trip! Clean, well thought out amenities/extras/kitchen supplies, great location & comfortable beds/furniture. Owners were wonderful - it’s a great stay!

Family ski trip

This property was perfect for our stay. It was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with large pans, crockpot, etc. We loved how close we were to Nub’s. I would definitely book this place again!

We will come back

We really enjoyed staying here. The place was lovely, slept comfortably the group we had. There was everything we needed for cooking. The setting is secluded and the hosts were very response to the questions we had. When we come back...we will look here first!

Fun on the Slopes!

This is our third year staying at the Chalet for our annual ski trip, and it never disappoints! It’s a fantastic location for skiing at Nubs or Boyne Highlands. The garage is perfect for storing ski gear, and the chalet has everything you need. The hosts are incredible—already looking forward to coming back!

Great place to stay!

The house was perfect for us. It is well-equipped with everything you need in the kitchen. The room at the bottom of the stairs was perfect for changing in and out of snowsport boots and apparel without tracking anything into the house. We would stay here again!

Great house, great location

The house was perfect for our group! Located conveniently between Harbor Springs and Petoskey and Nubs Nob and Boyne Highlands. The home was comfortable and well stocked and perfect for our group. Loved sitting on the deck for coffee! Thank you!

Exercise Chalet

We go up to Harbor Springs every summer for a week. Liked this place a lot. Easy drive to downtown. We all ate too much at the great restaurants and stayed in shape climbing stairs at the Chalet multiple times a day. Liked the garage entrance. Great Host. Hope to rent it again sometime.

Memorial Day Weekend

It was great for our group. 3 separate sleeping areas we used, room for more. Only downside is steep driveway made parking difficult and steep/long stairs into home. Very nice furnishings.

Birthday Getaway

Lots of room and plenty of beds. Kitchen was stocked with anything you need. Large deck for out door grilling. Only cons are, the steep driveway, lots of stairs and the washer makes a loud banging when draining water. But over all 100% great place to stay.

Comfy and stocked

This house had super comfy beds and couch. We enjoyed warming up by the gas fireplace. It was great to have the K-cups for coffee and other household items so we didnt have to pack anything extra like ziplocs, condiments,etc. Close to Nubs and Highlands so we could freely go back and forth during the day.

Family Ski Trip

One of our favorite rentals ever. They supply everything you need for a perfect getaway. Living room has plenty of comfortable seating. Beds were comfortable. The lot is gorgeous (beautiful sunsets) and some wooded area where you can do a little sledding. The Host are very responsive to any questions you may have. If I could rate higher I would. Definitely plan on staying here again..

Great spot with everything you need

We’ve rented 3 other homes in the area. This one was the best. Plenty of room to hang out - two TV spaces for kids and adults to hang or plenty of room to be all together. Well stocked kitchen. Plenty of towels. Easy access to Nubs. We’ll be back!

Close to ski hills

Cute little place with a lot of potential. Seems like a nice neighborhood. Convenient to Nub’s Nob and the Highlands. Very steep driveway that is almost unnavigable in the winter with even a small amount of snow cover. We arrived after dark and it took us about 30 minutes and 5 bags of salt to make it up near the garage with a four wheel drive Jeep. We were thankful that the owners left several bags of salt in the garage, but we weren’t anticipating having to salt the driveway upon arrival. Took awhile to locate the “front” door in the dark. Lots of stairs and tight spaces inside, which was fine for us but might be an issue for older or less mobile people. Could use some TLC, but was fine for a couple nights.
