“Clean and comfortable - what more do you want. Good food on site so you don't need to go out if you don't want. Ideal location for exploring this part of Northumberland with the coast, Bamburgh, Alnwick, Berwick etc fairly close. Easy to find, being right on the A1, but traffic noise was minimal and not a problem. I'll definitely stay here again when I'm in the area.”

“This tiny Inn is definitely worth a visit! The new owners were very friendly and welcoming and the room was comfortable and very clean. The history of the building meant that the bar is tiny, but very welcoming - we spent a great evening drinking and chatting with locals. No food available on the first night, but the owners were happy to recommend and book somewhere for us to eat. Their kitchen was open the second night and the quality was excellent. Bed and pillows a little too firm for my liking, and was woken at 1 am by a very noisy group of women thumping and talking loudly down the corridor - not comfortable enough to go back k to sleep again, but the noise was not the fault of the hotel. Generally a good place to stay, nice food and a decent breakfast.”
