“Great stay, lovely, clean and cosy. Staff very helpful and friendly Napier fantastic and owner provided us with a list of tried and tested eateries which we used, thank you. Recommendation to Te Mara peak also fab Location great, right on the beach”

“Beautiful view from the room, along with proximity to the walkway along the beach, cafes, and the village made this a memorable visit.”

“Komfortables Zimmer, allerdings etwas klein. Schöne Anlage mit beheiztem Pool. Ruhige Lage. Schönes Restaurant, welches leider nur Freitag und Sonnabend geöffnet hatte (entgegen der veröffentlichten Angaben)”

“Amazing property, dining and staff. Variety of activities from relaxing to adventurous and inbetween. Hope to return someday!”

“The Rocks is, surprisingly, a very modern motel with lots of space and good amenities in the rooms. It is conveniently located on a main road, but the traffic is not noisy. It is also located right next to a large tidal nature preserve area with lots of tracks and wildlife viewing. The staff are very helpful and there are several eateries within walking distance. Highly recommended.”

“Very nice room with a separate room for queen size bed and twin bed in different room. Kitchen was wonderful with plates, cutlery, cups and glasses etc. There was a stove top hot plate, fridge etc. Very nice set up. Grocery store and many restaurants nearby.”

“We visited during our honeymoon tour of NZ. The property is so beautiful and we often felt like the only guests. The restaurant in the hotel has a multi-course experience that was one of the best meals that we had during our trip.”

“Very welcoming and friendly staff. Motel cabin was very clean and functional. Hot pool was lovely, and the restaraunt was excellent.”

“Esta cómodo, situado en la entrada a Napier, cerca de los restaurantes de Ahuriri. Los dueños muy majos, siempre atendiendo con una sonrisa. Sky tv con recorder es un bonus”

“We had a great room with a spa bath and balcony. Room was spacious, clean and well equipped.”

“After having stayed at East Pier many times I was disappointed with the fact in order to view even free to air TV, one needed to know one’s logins and also for other platforms. The enjoyment of coming home after a night out, the part of climbing into bed and switching on the TV is now not an option without logging in. We also had to pay to watch Supercars and the All Blacks. Concerning also, was to see someone’s email address at the login. Privacy issues I would imagine.”

“Avoid the front studio rooms, noisy and close to the road.”

“Highly recommend for family”
