New linens, very clean. Kitchen well stocked. Fireplace tools provided as well as wood. Good WiFi and Smart TV options. However shower door was broken and were restricted to one. Also, we had an ice storm but no salt or de-icer provided. Didn’t see a snow shovel either for front porch entry. All in all, a good holiday stay.

If anyone has to sleep on the sofa beds in the living room then those in the loft will have zero privacy. My father slide the screen to open on the door on the porch. It was broken and he didn't know. It fell and hit my mom in the head. There is a board that is lose on the side deck and a nail that is popped. My son was walking on the deck in socks. The nail ripped through is sock. He was lucky it only ripped his sock and didn't cut his foot. That would have been an ER visit. The property description isn't very clear about the pool passes in the advertisement. He will provide you with some complimentary passes but the rest of the time you'll be expected to buy a 5 pass per person per day. I wish this was just included in the cost of the rental. I'd rather not have to guestimate how many days we might go to the pool and have to reach out to the owner to ask for passes and then pay once we have left. The pictures make it look like you are in "the woods" secluded. You are not. This is a golf community. You are surrounded by neighbors. If you are hoping to stargaze there is a lot of light pollution. Other then those items the house is clean. It's quiet. The pools are wonderful. We drove to the outdoor one by the indoor pool. It was less crowded and if it started to rain we could go to the indoor pool. Everyone in the community is very friendly. I highly recommend Frog Valley Artisans in Berkeley Springs as a fun activity for the family. Veronica is wonderful! We would return!

Host was very responsive which was great. We had a few things go sour but were reimbursed. The house is beautiful. I wish they gave you more info regarding the pool. You'll need to purchase a day pass for each person going if you want to swim. That information wasn’t in the description when booking it. Sounds like the pool is part of the reservation and its not.

The property was very nice and in a wonderful neighborhood. The owner was very responsive when contacted, usually responding within moments. A couple of things that would have made our stay easier- an information packet in the home that detailed the process for obtaining pool/recreation passes; additional bath linens; and a larger variety of cookware for those families that prefer eating in. We really appreciated the owner's flexibility in allowing us to add another night onto our stay when our plans were rained out as well. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home.

Our Six Week Escape from the Heat

We very much enjoyed our 6 week stay as a respite from the Florida heat. Great location & neighborhood and overall a nice property although the upstairs master suite is a loft and not an enclosed bedroom. The owner/property manager was very responsive to our requests and inquiries throughout our stay. A few housekeeping aspects left room for improvement, such as the kitchen & bathroom floors and the kitchen sink. Several maintenance issues exist that, once resolved, will improve the overall experience, such as loose/broken toilet seat, loose plumbing fixtures, protruding nail heads throughout the exterior deck areas and a thorough repainting of the interior. The amenities that are available in the community are excellent and the neighbors are very friendly and welcoming, as is The Woods staff. Again, a very enjoyable visit!

Excellent Experience

I rented this home for my granddaughter’s 7th birthday party. Everyone loved the home and access to the pool. The owner was super responsive. We enjoyed this home and location so much that we extended our stay which was a breeze to do. I highly recommend this home for your large family gatherings or a couples weekend away.

Short visit

We stayed to be close to a hospital for a visit with being able to bring the dogs. Nice property and clean. Only item of note would be need more pans and some measuring spoons/cups.

Great getaway

I would recommend this property. Comfortable beds. Big front yard. Kitchen could be better stocked but overall few complaints. We had some trouble with the code and the owners responded immediately.

Super host takes care of a couple like no one else would!

The property is superb. Three super clean bedrooms with excellent beds, Two fabulously clean bathrooms, a very nicely equipped large kitchen with whatever you can imagine. Really, we can say enough about the place. If you are into peace and quite, very very nice neighbors — this is your place. There are miles and miles to-die-for hikes+ 18 hole golf course. No here is the kicker - we got ourselves into a jam by sliding off a slippery road. Our host was the angel who came to rescue. He even paid out Uber to go and get a rental. Who does that. Well, I must say the people around, the policeman, the truck driver they were all examples of how human being should be. Unfortunately, we are not. Our host and people around there are worth moving there for good!

Perfect Mountain escape!

This property was beautifully maintained and perfect for us to have some escape time as well as to have grandkids join us for some fun. After the kids were gone we could just relax and enjoy too.

Nice little place

Nice little property. I relied on the reviews on another rental site. The property changed hands in the spring of 2021, per Fidelis. Owner was very responsive. A couple small issues were noted. This property does sleep 8, but only if the bunk beds hold two persons each bed. The towels are nice and fluffy, but there are only four of them in the house. I did bring extras just in case. One review I read said that some houses look bigger until you arrive and said this house was as big as it looked. I disagree. The couches are small and five adults can sit on them, but they are not roomy. The upstairs master is completely open. There is no door. The stairs go up and you’re on the landing for the master. There is little privacy. Shower was awesome! Great pressure. We brought our two dogs and managed well with them. I brought towels to dry them off as it called for rain. Easy to track in debris if you are bringing your dogs. Fidelis helped me with info to get the vacuum cleaner from the shed, which was very helpful. Overall a very nice stay. The house could use some updates and repairs. Kitchen flooring is old. Porch door to the deck is broken (and repaired?) and there was fungi growing on the deck surface. Minor things, yes. But the house was talked up so well on other site that I felt these things are notable. House was a little smaller than expected, but all in all a good stay.

Excellent and wonderful stay

We stayed at Fidelis's place this weekend and it was such a wonderful experience. Fidelis's place is in a quiet and remote area surrounded by greenery which is what we were looking for. His place had everything we were looking for and needed for our stay. It has all the amenities of a top class hotel. I would highly recommend others to stay at his place if you are looking at getaway from city environment.
