The location was peaceful and relaxing in a wooded area as was advertised! Overall, the stay was what you might expect in a cabin. However, we felt we’d be walking into a much more well updated setting. For example, it became quickly apparent that the interior of the cabin lacked some comfort and aesthetic elements. With regard to the aesthetics some of the workmanship was lacking. For example, the screens in many of the windows need to be replaced rather than the holes taped over. A fresh coat of paint would make the cabin much more inviting and attractive. The outdoor area too could use a little care. The screened in porch was a bonus which entitled us to enjoy fresh air without bugs, but the repairs on the porch ceiling were left incomplete. The hot tub was a nice bonus, but the chemicals were out of balance (way too high chlorine levels) and the decking was worn and green. A power wash would be a nice gift to the esthetics of the deck. As for comfort, the bedrooms lacked side tables on all sides of the bed. What should we do with our reading glasses and cell phones or glass of water, put them on the floor? Simple fix! Also, the sectional is worn down, we couldn’t sit together because of the lack of support. The tub drain is very slow and there are no hooks for a robe or clothing in the bathroom. A mirror would also be hospitable in the one bedroom. Lastly, overuse of air fresheners. Just cleaning should freshen the air enough!Other than that, a decent stay!
