Awesome place

Definitely a place we would stay again, our host Richard was a pleasure to speak with in the morning having coffee on his porch, before we would head out for the day, would highly recommend

Amazing vacation

We loved our stay at the McDonald farm . Perfect location. Peaceful would definitely recommend anyone coming to Custer /Rushmore to stay at this charming home .

Everything was perfect! Our place was clean and had lots of little added touches to make it warm and inviting. Great location to explore Custer State park, Keystone, Hill City, Mount Rushmore, caves and more.

Perfect place

We had an amazing experience in this little “cabin”! Would highly recommend staying here. Perfect for couples, you have everything you need. Location is great for all the local highlights. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Master Suite

McDonald Ranch Master Suite was a wonderful place to stay. It was clean, comfortable, peaceful and beautiful. My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Richard MCDonald, the owner was fun and interesting to visit with. We would love to stay here again.

Buffalo roundup

This location was perfect for the roundup, Mt.Rushmore, etc. The drive over the hills from McDonald’s ranch to Keystone was stunning. The location is quiet and best stars ever. I highly recommend this VRBO.

Lovely little honeymoon getaway

The McDonald Ranch was truly the perfect place for my husband and I to get away and spend time together after our wedding. Mr. McDonald is a lovely man and does a fantastic job welcoming guests and ensuring that their stay is comfortable. We would certainly book again!

The property was so great for our visit to Mt Rushmore, Keystone, Custer state Park and Crazy Horse, Needles Highway. So quiet after full days of tourism. It’s called the Master Suite. Wow I wish my bedroom at home was this. So Beautiful Comfortable and perfect for two people. We had a wonderful vacation. Thank you

Mt Rushmore/Crazyhorse/custer State Park

Very nice property. Other than bad gps info from google maps, the only down size for me was the mattress was too soft. Close location to all attractions.

The property was beautiful as was it's setting. The space was well kept, clean, and very cozy. I was a little concerned when booking about it being too small, but it feels very comfortable for 2 people! Richard, and the neighbor's cat were both friendly and welcoming hosts. My only comment would be that there is some noise coming from the rest of the house through connecting doorways, but this was ultimately not a large issue. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it.

Process was simple, property manager called us the day off arrival and confirmed our arrival and said he would be there to greet us upon arrival.

Western getaway!!

Very good..a little out of the way from some things but the beautiful setting & peace & quiet was great! The room we had was clean & very relaxing..beautifully done..everything you needed for a short stay! Must say best shower ever😂..Richard the owner very nice..Thank You for a very relaxing time!!
