“Clift Hill is a fabulous place to stay. We were a group of 20 friends and family and we loved the house. It's extremely clean, well equipped and comfortable. It has impressive rooms and views but it also feels very homely. The kids (aged between 4 and 11) had a brilliant time exploring the house and gardens, playing with the games and outdoor play equipment and taking over the hot tub.”

“Very well equipped accommodation. Great base for exploring the area. Beamish museum very close and well worth a visit. Also close enough to visit Newcastle, can get metro so don't have to drive in, Hadrians wall, Derwent water. Lot of places to visit. Good location if doing Great North Run.”

“absolutely amazing place, we do travel a lot and normally don't do reviews but this time... probably the best place we ever stayed in... really well equipt and situated on edge of very small village (no shops, no street lights, very friendly locals), just perfect if you want to switch off and take break from stress, this place is for you... perfect location for hikers, cyclists and dogs... we loved every minute spent there... even checked availability to stay week longer but my partner couldn't...

“Fabulous cottage in a quiet setting. Airy and light & welcoming. Nice big dining kitchen with (more than!) everything we needed. View from sitting room over the hills was lovely. A great position to trek out from - so near to Cragside National Trust, which is a must! We also visited Wallington & Gibside NT & Holy Island. Thankyou for entrusting us with your home from home - we will definitely be back to explore more of this beautiful area.”

“Very pleasant stay. Minor annoyance was strict check on time between 5 and 6 to allow for full clean. Would not class as full clean as bin had dirty tissues in it and cutlery/some kitchen ware needed washing before use”

“I booked last minute for a cycle event in the area, the directions were easy to follow, if you screenshot them as advised, phone signal is poor to non existent (bliss) The Meadow View Hut is clean cozy and well appointed, the fire burns very warm so one of the provided logs at a time. If you can’t be bothered with the hassle of the fire, the heating is plenty on its own. Falstone is a great staging post for Kielder Forest, and there’s plenty of adventurous things to do near by, endless walks...
