The amenities of the property are great. The single bedroom rooms have an unusual layout. They also have adjoining doors to another unit. The occupants were loud and we could here every conversation because the adjoing door does not close shut very well. Still enjoyed the time there.

Great hotel, just don't eat at the restaurant

We had an amazing time overall. The amenities are great. The beach view was amazing. The only recommendation for change that I have to the hotel is: either lower your restaurant/food prices or make the food a better quality. The food was the worst I had on our entire vacation (through Myrtle Beach and through Asheville north carolina) and by far the most expensive meal we had on our vacation. Quality either needs to increase or price needs to decrease. Would definitely not recommend eating at the restaurant!! Everything else was fantastic. Friendly front staff, and good trip overall -aside from the restaurant.

We loved the location allowing us to visit several hiking trails and dining. Only negatives were the upstairs living room, sort of useless, and the limited hot water, couldn't fill the roman tub. Overall, we felt comfortable.

The only problem that we had was the first unit they sent us to was not ready. The bed wasn’t made, the patio to the balcony was open, and there were spiders in the jacuzzi tub. But when staff was notified they rectified the problem. Other than that minor minor and yes I meant to say it twice because it wasn’t horrible. But other than that we had a marvelous time. We will be coming back. It will be me and my woman’s getaway spot. Thanks again!!!!!

Mis-communication. All of our fears.

Great place. Clean and nick folks. There was a lapse in the communications between hotels.com and the facility. I had a hard time confirming my reservation as they could Not find it. (I made a back-up reservation using another service). When I arrived they finally were able to communicate with Hotels and confirmed my reservation. This was time consuming and very unsettling.

Great location

We loved the location. The unit was 2 floors, which we were not warned about, no handicap access. It was dated, but that really didn't matter to us because there was so much to do there we didn't spend much time in the room. The room was not soundproof because there was a bedroom over our bedroom and we could hear every little movement! It was clean and the kitchen was well equipped.

Nice mountain get away with room accomidations

My husband and I wanted a get away from the kids to the NC mountains to enjoy the fall foliage and temps. So glad that we chose this place! Driving in you could tell there was lots to do and the property looked nice. Candace at check-in was so friendly, warm and informative. I had called her the day before to request early check in and she had our place available hours before check in time. I had read many reviews on here about this resort so I knew many found the interior to be dated. It was. It was very 1980s/90s but honestly, the size of the place and layout more than made up for this! We had a two bedroom. I was expecting a small condo with kitchenette. This place went on and on! A master bedroom with king sized bed, kitchen, nice living room with wood burning fire and porch with chairs. Then to my surprise, there was a secondary sitting room with TV, stairs that went down to another bathroom, kitchenette and king bed master. As well as a hot tub room! The beds were super comfy and had new bedding. The place was very clean. The kitchens were well equipped had I wanted to cook while there. Brand new Cuisinart small appliances were downstairs and upstairs. While it was just my husband and I this time we decided that the size of the accommodations and and the amenities and activities on the grounds were perfect for the whole family, so I look forward to coming back with the kids and checking out the skiiing/tubing in the winter.

In the Smokey Mountains

Excellent condo for the price. Had a lot of room, we are definitely going back. Downside was farther out then expected. Neighbors said saw two bears right down from condo night before check-out around 7pm. But we missed it.

Great Hotel

The only thing negative that I can say is that when we arrived about 8:30, the hotel was closed. We had to go to another nearby hotel and they advised us that as the mountain community where the hotel is located is so small and remote, everyone goes home at 5:00 and that you have to go to the police department to check in. I found the police department with no issues and checked in with the dispatcher and she gave me the number to the lock box where I got the keys. Other than that, the hotel was clean and we had a nice balcony with a beautiful view and overall it was a 9.5 out of 10. I would highly recommend this place and I will go back again.
