I cannot comment on the inside of the house because we were unable to access it. This property is not suitable for rent if you are unfamiliar with the area or if you arrive after dark. The owner was unsympathetic, and “AI Hazel” was not helpful at all. I do not recommend this property.We booked this property for a family holiday gathering. After arriving at PDX and driving for 1 1/2 hours in the evening, we began searching for the property. The roads were dark, and after driving for 15 minutes up and down Buckhaven Road, we finally found an unmarked, unlit path. We were unsure if it led to the house. The driveway was muddy, inclined, and covered with trees and overgrown bushes. We used our cell phone flashlights to see if we could drive down without getting stuck. After some consideration, we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, the keypad code did not work. We tried multiple times but were unable to gain access. We called the VRBO emergency number and received a phone call and text from “A.I. Hazel.” We went through a series of calls and texts with “A.I. Hazel” for the next 25 minutes, but we still could not access the property. Given that there were several holiday gatherings planned for the week, we decided to return to Portland to book a hotel. An hour later, the owner called and offered to meet us back at the property to open the house. By that point, we had booked a hotel in Portland and were almost back in the city.
