  • Location, Location, Location. This is a unique studio located one block off bay front above the Rainbow Jo store in downtown Hilo. It is owned and operated by Rainbwo Jo clothing designer Michele Joy. It is spacious with a Queen bed and a double bed, a private kitchenette, and a full private bath with bathtub. The location is excellent. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, grocery store, health food stores and everything Hilo.

The room was a superb find. Is not a new room; however is very comfortable, clean, spacious, close to everything and with lots of amenities. Its location is right in the middle of Downtown Historic Hilo. Close to the bus terminal which can take you the Volcanos Park and other locations of Hilo. Just get the bus schedule and be aware that the schedules can change and is not as clear. Ask the drivers to be sure. Our host Michele was very helpful to show and point the area and where to go. Thank you Michele, until next time.

Great location and well stocked quirky and old-school funky apartment! Loved it, and was a perfect base for the three of us for a week in Hilo! Not a fancy place, but had everything we needed and was well stocked and had nice touches like a lot of plugs around! Nice and helpful host, too! Would stay again on a return trip!

We loved the studio experience. Perfect location for Hilo experience, farmers market shops and eateries short walk. Getting in and out of the place with little to no crowd. Would recommend. The shirt and Dress we also purchased are and added bonus. Felt like an extension of home.

The Queen’s Loft was a quaint little place that offered way more than we expected. Conveniently located in downtown Hilo close proximity to shops, restaurants, laundromat and grocery store. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a convenient place to crash while visiting the island hotspots.

This quirky little apartment was perfect for us. Parking is on the street but we did not have a problem finding a spot. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything. We enjoyed our stay. The host was very responsive too. We would definitely stay here again.

Host was very helpful and quick to respond anytime we messaged her. The property location is indeed very central to Hilo. The air conditioning cooled the unit off too. The beds were comfortable too.Kitchen and 3 total sinks were convenient. Surprisingly quiet for being central.

What a cute spot. Old Hawaii style with lots of happy colors. Nice and clean. Well equipped kitchen area for such a tiny place. Great value. And the Hidden Nene speakeasy across the street was a great surprise hangout.

We had an enjoyable stay with all amenities available that we needed. We don’t end up using the kitchen because those so many places within a short walking distance to find want you wanted to eat. It’s right around the corner from the market too. We loved the speakeasy across the street. Our host was very responsive and made it easy for us in every way.

It's a little old apartment that's been cleverly well-appointed for guests, with several huge mirrors adding to a sense of spaciousness. The kitchen is small but has everything you need to cook a simple meal: a one-burner hotplate, a microwave, some kind of big toaster oven, a blender, utensils, big fridge and freezer.... With the Hilo farmer's market, the KTA supermarket and a natural food store all a one-minute walk away, we were inspired to do some cooking even though there are so many good restaurants within easy walking distance too. Everything worked. The host was very responsive. This was our second stay here and we hope to return to this, our Hilo home!

Everything about this property was perfect! Location is great! If you don’t mind parking on the street (no problems whatsoever with us) this is the best place to stay for couples.

Short but good stay

Hilo is a small town, but staying here puts you right in the heart of their walkable downtown. It’s very basic accommodations, but I found the apartment to be clean and suitable for my needs.
