GREAT LOCATION

Rough start but got everything sorted out. Location is great. Only a short ride to the beach. Nice public access area.

Location to beach was a bit hard on seniors over 70! Beach was nice once you get there but you had to be there before 10 am for parking.

Needs Improvement

Dishwasher and dryer didn't work well. Had to handwash dishes. Dryer took several attempts and hours to dry clothing and towels. Had to call for propane for gas grill. The kitchen was decently equipped, but lacked hand towels, oven mitts, pizza cutter, pizza tray, and storage containers. Cleanliness was very good. However, various repairs and other work wasn't done well. Main bedroom had a nice walk-in shower, but no shower door. The frame was present, but a lightweight shower curtain was hung above the shower door frame. The curtain isn't weighted and billows into the shower during use.

Adequate but not Great.

Decided last minute to take a trip to Hilton Head, so property listings were limited in availability. Stone Throws complex is nice, two parking spots provided, pool was clean and great for kids. It is a good walk to the beach, about 8-10 minutes. Rough with young kids in trail with their belongings, but made it work. The place seems like it was in process of being updated. Showers looked new, but then saw drywall anchors exposed, rough patching of walls, and baseboard trim missing, dirty, and not painted. Dishwasher did not work upon arrival. They did send a service person to repair, and worked two times, then stopped again. Had to wash dishes by hand. As in previous comments, dryer does not dry clothes and towels (takes 2 or 3 runs of the dryer to get items dried). Ceiling light/fan in one bedroom did not work, HHRRP provided a floor fan in place. Kitchen was light on utensils needed for cooking / baking compared to other places we have stayed, but did meet our basic needs. If you are family that wants to stay and cook to save on food, this place may be missing items necessary. HHRRP was good in the booking process. Did like the credit for beach rentals, providing us beach chairs and umbrellas. They did not provide the pool code initially, and sent e-mail asking for code. They responded no code was necessary until we went to the pool and code was needed. Spent 10 minutes on the phone explaining a code is needed and eventually they did provide the code to get in. Being late to the party in booking, this place worked. If having time to book and other places to choose from, I would seek out other places. I did like the Stone Throws complex and would look at other condos there. Additional comments unrelated to the property. We spent a few days at Fish Haul Beach. It was about 7 minute drive from the condo. We were able to fish and bring dog to the beach there. It is on the inlet/sound, so no waves, but great for little ones to play in the water and not worry about them. Water is also not that deep till high tide comes in. All in all, would rate the specific condo 2.5 stars, dishwasher / dryer issues, seems to meet minimum needs, and not upgrade or replace known issues. HHRRP 4 stars, very responsive, but did mess up pool code and never fixed light/fan. in one bedroom.

Great stay!

This was a great property, updated amenities, and nice pool in the complex. Beds could be more comfortable, but otherwise the unit itself was great. It is a bit of a walk to the beach so be prepared with a wagon/bike etc if you have small kids or a grandparent traveler (which we had both :))

Great Villa

This was a great Villa, it was very nice and the furniture was in good condition it was updated also. It isn't far from the beach. The villa was equipped with everything you will need. The gate hatch to enter needs to be replaced. I'm always in mommy mode so I immediately thought of a fire hazard because it's hard to enter and exit. Now what was so upsetting was on property management part when we arrived the villa was not clean at all. We was told it got overlooked by the cleaning crew. Despite us having to wait about 4 hours total while going back and forth we lost the whole day of Friday to do anything. They did offer us into one of their houses in Sea Pines and it was worst to me because it smelled like dogs and it had dead roaches every corner you can see. I guess one lesson that I learned was when it ask you how many attending be sure to call them to update it if your party changed. Originally it was just 2 adults then last minute we decided to bring our 2 kids (1&4) and niece (18) SO they made sure to keep bringing that back up when we asked for something bigger due to the Villa not being ready upon arriving. We booked a 3 bedroom and they wanted to put us in a 2 bedroom.

Weekend at beach

Beautifully decorated & spacious. Great location. 0.4 walk to beach. There is a restaurant directly out of the parking lot. Biggest complaint was that the upstairs was stuffy compared to downstairs & the room with bunk beds only has a tiny fan that you can’t move to blow on you, it’s floor level.

Too Expensive for Location

Too far from Beach with the amount of people we had. Bikes came in handy. Had to pay to park for beach access - after paying for the Condo, felt it should have been included. Lack of Amenities compared to other surrounding properties. Pool was dirty. Condo was great. Lots of space. Needed fan in third bedroom. Otherwise, great comfort.

Wonderful unit

This is a beautifully updated unit with care taken to make sure everything you need is there- to include beach towels, chairs and boogie boards. The kitchen is also stocked with the essentials you may need to cook a nice Dinner. You can’t beat this location for a shower walk to thebeaxh

Nice property, clean and quiet

Excellent value, close to beach and shopping. Stairs to bedrooms were steep and narrow, so could be a tough stay for seniors. Management company was very responsive to our needs during the stay.
