Rooms were great hot tub was awesome and heated/cooled very quickly so we used it as a kiddo pool during the day & hotub for adults at nice. Coligny beach shopping center a short walk away. Perfect for a quick morning coffee to get out of the house.

The property was in a prime location. We were able to get to restaurants and shopping and down to the beach very easily. The hot tub and pool area was amazing. I think our grandchildren could’ve stayed in there for 24 hours a day.

Lovely home perfect for our family. 8 adults, 3 toddlers and 16 mo old. Set up perfectly for our needs. High chairs, pack and plays, safe bunk beds, and even booster seats for chairs. Gates for little ones on main level. The pool and hot tub set up nice for all to enjoy. Outdoor frig, grill and plenty of lounges, tables and chairs. Beach wagons and plenty of beach pails, shovels and toys. Fully stocked kitchen with no need for anything. Play areas for kids perfect. Beach is so close! Would definitely go back! My favorite respite for some indoor time was the window seats overlooking the pool, heaven for me!

We had 4 adult couples & 9 children. The layout of the house is excellent for a large group. Each bedroom is well appointed and has it's own bath. The kitchen & dining area is large enough to accomodate easy meals. The 2nd floor gaming area became the kids' hangout and we loved hearing the cousins being cousins. Though the pool is small, the outside area was a great gathering space. Though we did not need them, we appreciated the multiple high chairs and gates at each stairway. Nice touch. 15 beach towels is a cool amenity. In the evenings we walked to Coligny for ice cream. The beach is very close and not crowded. All in all, this is a great house for a family gathering at Hilton Head.

Great Vacation
Great stay. Excellent location so close to the beach. Good size pool. Plenty of parking. Plenty of activities for the kids. Just wish that the online description would have included more of the items provided; they provide more than in the description and we could have avoided bringing extra items! Home was an excellent place for a large family vacation.

HHI - Family Vacation

Magical Place ro Stay on Hilton Head.
We just spent a week with our kids and grandkids at this beautiful home. It was perfection. The house had everything you could need. Rooms were lovely, three of which are designed for kids. The pool is great and the beach is just a very short walk with easy access.there are shops within a short walking distance as well. We hope to return there ahain!

Perfect Family vacation
Every year my extended family gathers in Hilton Head. We have stayed many places and they have all been just right for where we were as our children grew, married and then had children of their own. Castle by the Sea was absolutely perfect for our family with 8 adults and 3 grandchildren. Everyone talked about the splash pad in the pool as the best for our little ones. With nap schedule, the beach was just a short wagon ride away and easy to go back and forth as needed. Our first 3 days were cloudy but it did not matter - we heated the pool and the kids played. We used the grill for several meals and also biked down to "The Bank" for a meal that was very child friendly. We are booked for next year and can't wait!

Family vacation 2025
We had a wonder time. The property had everything we could possible need from playpens, high chairs, potty chairs, toys, tv games, wagons, pool table and much more. We so appreciated the baby gates in the stairways. We could not have asked for a better place to stay for our multigenerational vacation. EXCELLENT

Would stay here again!
Absolutely loved the layout of the home, the kid friendly “extras”, the pool & hot tub set up…I could go on and on! The location is perfectly located on a quiet part of the island but within walking distance to restaurants, shops, ice cream, bars, and walking/biking paths. This was the perfect home for our family to gather for spring break.

Wonderful property at Forest Beach
We decided to take the family to Hilton Head Island. Our son and daughter joined us, so we rented the North Forest Beach - Castle by the Sea.
We have been property owners at Hilton Head for 16 years. After selling our condo we wanted to try the Castle by the Sea house due to the photos on the VRBO site and the fact is was in North Forest Beach.
We communicated with Melynda, the property owner prior to arriving, and she was always responsive and answered my questions. We arrived early to Hilton Head and stayed at a hotel and I reached out to Melynda to see if there was any chance for an early check-in. She talked to the on-island property management team, and we received a text message we could get in 4 hours earlier than normal. That was great.
The house is very comfortable, we got to try out reclining beds, and all the adults had master suites. The kids had their own rooms and everyone had a great time. The weather wasn't as good as we hoped, but we were able to get to the beach a couple of the days.
It was shocking how close the house is to beach. Our former condo was right on beach, and the walk from Castle-by-the-Sea house to the beach was about the same.
It was also nice to walk to Coligny for shopping, dinners, and refreshments.
This is a great property and I would strongly recommend it!

Great Place to Ride Out Tropical Storm Debby
We arrived at "Castle By The Sea" and found it very clean, well stocked and in good location for visiting the Beach. The home is comfortable and has everything one may need-- dishes, blenders, music speaker, multiple refrigerators, etc. We found Beach Toys, great Beach Towels and a Wagon for transporting all these items for the 5 minute walk to the Beach. We had the opportunity to spend a lot of time in the home since the Tropical Storm paid us a visit on Days 2-5 of our vacation. We spent this time indoors-- playing pool and Jenga in the Garage, working puzzles and the younger set enjoyed using their Gaming system on the TV in the Upstairs Game Room. The Management Company personnel, Katherine, was kind and responsive to our questions. Everything was "perfect"-- EXCEPT for the Weather !!!

Would suggest a magnetic catch on accordion door to elevator so someone who uses walker could use elevator alone .

Dream house
Very well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, 4 (!) refrigerators, 2 dishwashers which with the age range of our group really came in handy. Easy walk to beach, and several restaurants. Clean, every bedroom stayed cool even on the hottest day. Lovely lovely home.

Spring Break Family Gathering
The property was as nice as the pictures. We thoroughly enjoyed the heated pool/spa and the well-equipped kitchen and game rooms. There were 15 of us and there was plenty of space for all. A 2-3 minute walk to a beautiful beach and maybe 10 minutes to shopping/restaurants/bakeries. We had a couple of minor issues but the communications with the owner and property manager resulted in quick resolutions of those issues. If we come back to HH in the future, we would certainly rent this place again.
