Plenty of room for 3 families to celebrate the holiday together! Kitchen stocked with everything you would need or forgot to bring for a big Thanksgiving dinner. Great communication and all around great experience.

Management group was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process!

Great, quiet place to stay deep in the neighborhood. Overall, we loved the house - pool deck had lots of leaves and debris was our only qualm. Would recommend!

Great house for large groups

Perfect indoor and outdoor spaces to house and entertain a large group (12). Plenty of beds in the evening so everyone was comfortable while still having lots of common areas inside and out for relaxing and entertaining. The pool courtyard and back porch are great for enjoying the nice weather. The short walk to the beach was great and getting to the golf courses we played was a breeze. Recommend to anyone traveling with a large group!

Needs a maintenance man

The homes floor plan, back porch and neighborhood is wonderful. The interior of the home needs some TLC. The microwave is 8 feet in the air, which is hilarious but also dangerous with hot food and useless for people under 6 ft tall without a ladder. The hot tub should be included in the cost of the rental. The cleaning fee should cover cleaning the counters and sweeping the floors before check out. One king bed was made up without sheets under the comforter and the mattress was not something you’d want to see and not great at 11:00pm after traveling 11 hours. Housekeeping brought us sheets the next day but expected me to make the bed. The pool area is dirty/mildewed and the metal furniture was rusty and broken. Wish I had better things to say. Cool house if it was cleaned up and maintenance better.

Bach Trip 30+yo

We had a group of friends celebrating my upcoming wedding, we were all in our 30s and this house was great. Everyone was able to have their own space and enjoy what they love to do (reading by the lake, swimming in the pool, soaking bath tub). The house has a pool completely surrounded by the house, it was very nice to have the privacy. I will say the house did has some cleanliness issues. We noticed hair in the bathroom, hand soaps were not full (ran out mid way thru the stay), ground around pool def needs some pressure washing, and lounging sofa outside needs some cleaning, lots of windows that could use a good cleaning, and a few bugs in the house (granted in the south it’s hard to not have bugs). But the overall house is great. They def hit the nail on the head for a “fun, party house”. TVs everywhere, including outside by the pool. Surround sound to play the music everywhere. Open concept in the main areas but then privacy for the bedrooms. Palmetto dunes has a very nice shuttle to take you to the beach and back. Will say the house is located at the end of palmetto dunes, so the drive in and out of the neighborhood is close to 10 mins. But overall, I will 100% stay here again.

Spacious living

It’s a great home for a large group with all the accommodations-very well stocked kitchen. We loved spending time and relaxing in the peaceful backyard watching all the wildlife. 4 stars for cleanliness due to lots of sand in pool and previous guests had broken a bed which left a teen on the couch.

Hilton Head Vacation Rental is a SCAM and the house is dirty and deceiving!!!!

When we rent houses we always go by the feedback from prior guests . First off the pictures are deceiving, the pool is not that big , it's also enclosed, super hot back there and no air circulation. The pool light fell out twice - almost took 3 days to get it right and fixed . The pool water does not drain - drains are either clogged or not installed properly so with little kids - be careful of slipping on the pool deck . The mold on the pool deck by pool furniture is gross and tons of mold under the furniture and all the corners of the pool deck. They claim they power wash before check in - not true . Also the back deck was gross bird poop everywhere you can't sit down - furniture as well - not talking a few spots . It was everywhere . They claim (Hilton head vacations ) they power wash before guest - once again not true . When we paid vrbo the check in stated 100pm- Hilton head vacations blamed vrbo and said it was glitch. VRBO informed me that Hilton head vacations has their own software and they enter the times , descriptions and pictures. They had no propane for the grill (grill was dirty) no propane for the gas fire place. The bunk beads had screws coming out and falling apart. They left the smoke alarms down with the batteries and never put them back- they told us we should told them? Didn’t know we were suppose to remind maintaince. I thought i was on vacation paying for a house to function properly. Towels took 2 days to get back to us. Doors don’t shut and broke

Great week in Hilton Head

The property was perfect for our group (2 families). We really enjoyed the mornings with coffee on the "dock" and the short walk/bike ride to the beach was no problem at all. Overall, a great place to spend a week with friends!

Great house for smaller family - just some feedback

My family and I recently stayed here for our annual vacation and to celebrate my father's 80th birthday. Overall, we were very happy with the house. Positives: 1. Excellent layout - Having the pool in the courtyard was a huge bonus because the adults could have eyes on the kids from all angles when in the kitchen and living area. 2. Great backyard with a large deck and pier to the lagoon. Sweet turtles. Just watch small children because there are 2 alligators that live in the lagoon and come out occasionally. 3. Beautiful neighborhood with great amenities Feedback: 1. The house is small. It is listed as sleeping 20. While there are enough "beds" for this many (2 are pull-out couches), 20 people would be very cramped. We had 16 people, 6 of whom were under 10, and we were at our space limit. As someone else mentioned, there is only 1 fridge. We were able to fit all of our food in it, but we had to pack it full and do a lot of shifting of stored food to access everything. There is no pantry in the kitchen, so storage space for food is minimal. Only 3 cars can fit in the driveway without having to move cars around for people to get in and out. 2. The microwave is about 6 feet off the floor. You may need a step-stool to get to it. There is no step-stool in the house. 3. Be sure to do a cleanliness check of all spaces and furniture when you check in, and report any issues right away. There was a large stain on the couch that we noticed but didn't report after flipping over 1 of the cushions. We were charged a cleaning fee for this even though we didn't cause it. We were also charged an additional cleaning fee for not sweeping the floor on check-out. There is no broom in the house (again, didn't report this). We had sand in our shower when we checked in and had to wash the bath mats because they were gross. One of the kids cut her toe on a piece of glass that was on the floor in the game room (we didn't break anything during our stay). Our additional cleaning fee was $500 with no breakdown of the cost. We did receive pictures of cereal, some crayon pieces and a bandaid on the floor, an unflushed toilet, and a smudge of makeup on a bathroom counter. $500 seems excessive, especially considering what we found on our arrival. It made us wonder how well the house is actually cleaned/if additional fees are routinely billed. I both emailed and called the rental company to ask for an itemized receipt but have not received a reply on either.

Wonderful stay

Could have been much better

House is nice w/decent space. Well stocked in kitchen and decorated nicely. The area is pleasant and quiet. However, it was not properly cleaned when we arrived. All doors (front, back, patio) had bugs, cobwebs, dirt, everywhere. Gameroom had -bugs, cobwebs, & very musty smell. Pool&patio-very small (website pics look much bigger), patio was very dirty at arrival. Master bed-10 degrees warmer than rest of house, felt like sleeping on a rock. Other items that I won't mention. Property mngmt responded to texts, sent out maintenance next day, who was very nice. Some items cleaned, but not to our satisfaction, considering how much we spent. We were told that the holiday weekend caused some delays. The property manager for this place was out for the first 4 days of our 8 day stay and was less than pleasant to me, when I finally spoke to her. I did speak to upper management and they offered a small discount for our trouble, which we appreciated. If the game room, pool, master bed and master a/c had been taken care of right away, we would have given much higher ratings.

Definitely not what it seems

Where do I begin? The large, gourmet kitchen was useless because the induction cooktop was broken (they told us the day before we arrived and weeks after they took our money). The large 80” outdoor TV that was hanging by the pool didn’t work all week. That was a selling feature for us in the VERY deceiving photos that are online. The drains on the bottom of the pool had no covers, there were mouse droppings in the kitchen cabinets and the game room in the garage had no ventilation, therefore making it unfit for human activities. Having the garage doors open to use the room invited mosquitos and there are no screens on the windows. The rental agency, Vacation Homes of Hilton Head, was less than responsive offering us electric single burners (that’s for people who camp, not for people who pay over $10K a week to stay in your home); and they had no answer for the TV, the pool, the garage and completely ignored the complaint about the mouse droppings.

Renovated property in great resort for families.

Overall we had a great stay. Palmetto Dunes resort is great for families, with lots of great restaurants near by and the beach is wonderful. We were one of the first guests into the property after renovation and as a result there were a few elements of the home that were not yet properly working when we arrived, but the property manager was very communicative and we felt that they were doing their best to resolve them. I am sure these would be resolved for future guests. The house itself is great, interesting layout, with a great fun pool area in the courtyard for the family along with a games room. The property is on a lagoon with alligators so if you have toddlers in the party like us we just didn't let them play in the backyard as a precaution but for older children you just need to be vigilant.
