Holiday Retreat

It was a gorgeous house but the bedrooms and bathrooms could use some updating. Bedroom furniture squeaked when getting in and out of bed. Pool was actually larger than we thought from the pictures but there was lots of sand in the pool and hot tub when we arrived. Quiet hours stat at 9 which made it a little unnerving with the kids when they were outside.

New Years Family Trip

We had a wonderful stay in the property.The location was so convenient. Close to the beach, stores and restaurants. The house had so much open space and well stocked for all of our needs. We had a great time!

Great Vacation

The house was the perfect size for 10 adults (5 couples) and 5 grandkids. The location was the best for getting to the beach and shops. Really didn't need a car once we arrived except to grab a few groceries here and there. Would definitely like to go back.

Old Air Conditioning System

The property and location are terrific, but some of the rooms were too hot to sleep in. Two new AC systems were installed during our stay (out of 4 total) which solved the heat problem upstairs but not the bedrooms downstairs. In addition, a water drain in the kitchen failed and a plumber was called to repair it. The new owner did a great job redecorating the home and replaced the hot tub which we would have used if temps were not so high. Don’t know if we will use this property in the future. Jim Burns

Annual Family Vacation

18 stayed. Plenty of room. I locked the elevator up on Saturday & it was not fixed until Tuesday after 2 additional calls. Very nice home recently renovated. Great basement garage parking - we parked 6 SUVs inside w/add parking out. We will look to stay here again. Close to beach & Coligny. Nice pool. 2 laundry rooms really helped w/our large group.

Nice but could be excellent

Cool property. Big place but had a couple minor issues. Bottom line, we would stay here again. Recommendations: 1. Sheets and towels washed in too much bleach. Appreciate the cleanliness, but not the smell. 2. Nice TV's in all rooms, but remotes impossible to figure out. 3 remotes in each room but no directions. Couldn't watch them. 3. Refrigerator in kitchen didn't work. Lackluster effort to fix it. Fortunately there is a 2nd one upstairs that worked good, so we did fine. 4. Cool pool and deck area, but nothing decent to sit on. Feels like it just needs an average set of 6-8 patio chairs and some side tables. Repeat. We would stay here again. Just suggestions and feedback.

Hilton Head Coligny Beach area

Great home and location. Pool was perfect and kept cleaned. Would be even better had we been given tips on basic supplies required; absolutely nothing for dish cleaning, etc. Also would be better if beach towels were provided. Top drawer of dish washer was unfunctional. Over all a great home and our family would visit again.

Loved 8 curlew

The property was all as advertised. We had a few hiccups but Erin and the management company were very polite, friendly, professional and acted quickly to correct the issues. There was more than sufficient room and it was clean and bright thru out the entire home. There was plenty of kitchen ware and if there is anything that could be improved it would be the pots and pans could be updated with some better knives. Plenty of refrigerators, the pool was great as was the gym. Sunrise could be seen from most of the beach side rooms and decks. Definetly impressed our entire group of 17

Fantastic Home

This home was outstanding. We were a family of 18 with ages from 2 to 77. The beach was just steps away and the family loved the fact they could come and go to the beach as much as they wanted. I was afraid the pool was too small but I was wrong as many family members were in it at the same time with no complaints. They have been texting each other since we got home about how wonderful a vacation they had and want to do it again. We have been bringing this large family on vacations like this for the past several years and they all agree this was the best. Also walking distance to stores for food,, ice cream and shopping in general.

Christmas in Hilton Head

Curlew 8 is a beautiful cottage and we had a lovely time there --- 2 grandparents, 4 sons and their wives, and 10 grandchildren under 10. The recommendations that I can make are: 1. more seating for eating --- one dining room chair was out of commission when we arrived. We only needed seating for 18 as 2 grandchildren are babies, but there were 9 chairs at the table and then 5 at the counter. We certainly managed, but a cottage that advertises that it sleeps 21 should offer more seating for meals. 2. larger sheet pans for oven use. There were the "tops" for 2 broiler pans, but no bottoms, and the other flat oven pans were quite small when one considers the number of mouths we were feeding. I realize that the cottage is probably rented mostly in the summer and these may not be shortcomings at that time of the year. We used the grill for two dinners and that worked well. Understand please, that we had the most glorious time. In spite of rain for several days there were breaks and we walked a lot, rode bicycles, played on the beach, flew kites, and those hardy grandchildren were even in the water.
